Interface

Clunky onboarding won’t recognize employer from zip code. App wants to monetize data before you can even try it to see if you like it.

No longer works

I have used this app for 2 years almost daily and now it won’t even let me log in saying I have the wrong iOS but my phone is updated to the newest iOS.

App not working

Tried to use this app on iOS 26.5 and it says my phone is jailbroken which it’s not.

Unable to work

The app claims that it is unable to work with my phone due to being “jail broken” even though my phone is not. It started after the update. Now I can no longer use the app

Not connecting from old control board to new control board

I spent 2 hours trying to replace a control board and trying to connect to the new board. Whenever I would “tap” to connect it would say an error has occurred. Then I manually put in whatever I needed and I would “tap” to connect to the new board and it would say an error has occurred. Why would you have to program a new board with an app when in the past companies would just use dip switches? I had to leave the customers house with no heat because this app would not connect to the old or new board.

Response from developer

Hi Denis, we're sorry you were left in that situation with no heat. Control board replacement workflows are a top priority for us right now. Please email us at digitalAppAdmin@carrier.com with your board model numbers so we can escalate this to our engineering team.

Terrible

Everytime I have to use this app even if it’s 4 times a week I have to update it and put my password back in. Yet nothing ever works better.
The NFC tag can take 20 tries to work on a furnace. The barcode scanner on a furnace won’t bring anything up. Manually entering model numbers won’t do it.
It’s just a constant fight, then after you get it to work it’ll just say they don’t have any parts data on that 5 year old carrier. Unacceptable.

NFC NEVER WORKS

Tried countless devices with countless control boards and it never connects. Even tech support doesn’t know how it works

Response from developer

Hi Aaron, NFC reliability is a known issue we're actively working on. Please email us at digitalAppAdmin@carrier.com with the specific control board models you've tried so we can investigate.

Can’t even create a username

Attempted to create an account and tried 20 different usernames that all took minutes to verify and have still not been able to find a username that’s not been taken. Super slow and couldn’t even create an account.

Longest wait times at ALL locations

Carrier is the worst when it comes to wait times in all of their dfw locations. Expect to spend a minimum of 30 minutes even if there is no line ahead of you and you’re simply trying to pick up a motor. Ridiculous!

App is awful

The app is so slow and awful. Especially connection to these new smart boards. I have to retry multiple times when connecting and saving the new changes to the board. Very aggravating when you’re in a attic and it’s not working

Response from developer

Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear about the slowness and connection issues you're experiencing with the smart boards, especially when trying to save changes. We understand this can be very frustrating. Please reach out to us at digitalappadmin@carrier.com with more details about your experience so we can understand what happened and help.

Senseless complications

HVAC TECH HONEST BRAND REVIEW:
The Worst Company in HVAC – Avoid Carrier at All Costs

As an HVAC technician with years in the field, I’ve worked with just about every major brand. Let me be very clear: Carrier is hands down the worst when it comes to serviceability and customer experience.

Their control boards are intentionally designed to be a nightmare. You can’t just replace them like every other sane manufacturer allows. No – Carrier forces you to:
1. Download their bloated, pointless app
2. Become an “authorized dealer” (even if you already are)
3. Create an account in their system
4. THEN wait up to 72 hours for approval

Meanwhile, my customer and his family sit in a sweltering house with NO A/C, all because Carrier wants to lock techs into their walled garden and control every repair. This is not just inconvenient – it’s completely unacceptable.

This system is a disgrace. It’s not about safety or quality – it’s about gatekeeping and greed. If anything breaks on a Carrier unit, your customer is likely to be without heat or cooling for DAYS. In the middle of summer or winter, that’s not just an inconvenience – it’s dangerous.

NEVER buy Carrier systems. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your customers: choose literally any other brand. Carrier has lost all respect in the HVAC community, and they’ve earned every bit of the backlash they’re getting.

Helpful Information

This app provides helpful information for techs. I use it to look up documents for a unit, see warranty and to see data for a connected system.

Pretty Slick

Used to work for Trane but left because of the problems I had with their technology and how long everything took, now on the residential side and this app is light years ahead!

Saves time for new techs

The NFC features save time for me and my new techs as we no longer have to access the switch boards

Pocket assistant

Great app.

Perfect

Did my job on time.

Broken garbage

Complete fraud of an app, never works or connects to boards properly no matter if it’s Android or iPhone. Fix your garbage software before you force us to buy your garbage boards to connect with this terrible app. What a complete joke for carrier. It’s embarrassing to be a carrier dealer when you have to use this trash

This app has many problems

Working on a heat pump and called tech support they told me to download the Bryant app that’s made by carrier. Downloaded it and opened it set up an account then it said it would take 24-72 hrs to be approved. Well I guess the customer is out of luck until account is approved lucky him it’s only about 110 degrees today. What a joke. So now I get a call about a carrier unit. i I figured I should get their app as well. Tried to set up an account but it says my email is already used because of the bryant app is carrier. so I tried signing in with my bryant app info and it won’t work. WHAT A JOKE. There’s a lot of info on google just go there it’s easier.
