Carrot 2.0 is a bust on so many levels
I’ve been with Carrot since the beginning. Carrot 2.0 is terrible. Sure, you get points for walking, but you can’t redeem them for anything unless you buy the subscription. Even after that it’s only for auction bids. Bids, not wins.
The competitions don’t work properly either. You pay to compete and even when the app says you met your goal, you don’t get credits for doing so.
I’ve reached out to customer service about these and a few other issues but never heard back. Dev response was that it wasn’t syncing properly, but that ain’t it. I’ve got a ton of coins so the sync is working, they just won’t let me redeem for anything until I pay for permission. Terrible.

Doesn’t Work
I downloaded this on an iPhone and the app doesn’t connect to Apple Health. Second, when you watch the ads they say that you also earn 1,000 reward points, but you won’t receive anything. The app needs several things to be fixed in order to work on iPhones.

Not what they promised
I downloaded this app because of an early promise that after hitting 10 million steps I would receive a $150 gift card; I think from Amazon?) But somewhere after 5 or 6 million steps (not sure) that offer along with others pretty nice $ offersthat I can’t recall just disappeared. Also the counter for receiving one coin for each day I met my step goal stopped at 1,150 and hasn’t added any coins since. Still walking and still using the app to motivate me but I am a little disappointed.
Update September 2025: not much has changed for the better; seems worse to me. It looks like the software is updated a little bit and no longer shows my past steps that I have done for the last week. And the coin counter reset to zero. I never did use the paid part of the app, so not too much to complain about. I’ll probably delete it one of these days soon as I’m using another walking app.

Waste of space
This app is waste of space. You can’t access anything until you apply for premium subscription. Then too you will have to bid in auctions just to get a $5 gift card. Kindly don’t download this app.
Terrible:(
Cancelled my subscription after two months use! Despite paying, I never had access to the premium auctions. When I questioned customer service, I never heard back. Would also like bigger dominations of gift cards to win!!

There are several other apps that actually pay you nor give you gift cards for your efforts. The bidding, and hiding behind a pay wall is lame

App is DEAD
Have not received my gift cards in almost 8 months; received no replies to 4 emails and 1 voicemail
Awful App
I won a Walmart gift card over 3/4 months ago and never received it. I've written support numerous times and have yet to receive a reply, but they are good about letting g you know when a new auction appears.
The app is crashing.

Not good at all. Laughable.
This app is terrible. You have to auction for rewards at a specific time instead of just redeeming your rewards for a base price.
In other words, you won’t be able to redeem. Ever.
It costs so much more effort and time than it’s worth and ultimately seems like a scam.

App is glitchy
I am finding the app is a little glitchy. When you go to Featured section it acts like it going to load then it is completely blank.
When I use this app more and the glitches are worked out i will write another review.

It doesn’t give you the option to delete your account and their email doesn’t exist anymore so there’s no way to contact them.
New way of setting my goal
I like it. Only way to set your goal is to walk. It’s different but interesting. It’s all based on me walking or not walking. It’s not based on an arbitrary number.
