I see developer excuses replying to every review about technical limitations. I’d invite you to visit Paris or Tokyo. There’s simply no excuse for not offering a modern mobile pass that actually works.
Molt mala experiència d’us, torno a la targeta física
Pèssima implementació, al meu entendre no hauria de fer falta aquesta aplicació. La cartera d’Apple es pot obrir prement dues vegades el botó d’encesa. Encara que he provat de posar una drecera al botó d’acció, el fet d’estar al costat esquerre, almenys per mi es incòmode. He tornat al suport físic.

Don’t buy if you are from the US
Despite my entering my US address, the app waited until after charging to announce that it didn’t work with US phones. At this point, I want to move my purchase to my paper card and not convert my Apple ID to Europe (possibly messing up other settings).
Pésimo servicio
Solo se puede usar la app con la configuración del móvil en “región España”. Vivo aquí pero tengo cuentas y gestiones de Estados Unidos, no puedo cambiar toda la configuración de mi móvil para esta simple aplicación. Además que los fondos de la app no son transferibles a una tarjeta física. Ahora tengo dos opciones: cambiar toda la configuración del móvil (afecta las apps, la billetera virtual, subscripciones etc) o volver a pagar la tarifa completa por la tarjeta que compré. Ridículo. Habiliten para todas las regiones y nadie tendría este problema!!!

Simply does not work
This app just doesn’t work with a modern iPhone. How an app this bad is allowed to be released is beyond me. Essentially you need NFC to be able to use the app to travel. But…. There is no way to switch NFC on for the app (iOS standard is NFC on always) and the apple wallet always overrides this app so your bank card is always triggered.

Not working for phones sets to US region!
Get a physical card, this will not work..
Doesn’t work for non Spanish Apple accounts
It allows you to buy a ticket but when you try to use it gives a misleading error saying NFC isn’t working. Looking online it seems like your Apple account needs to have Spanish address.
Lacks integration with other transportation apps in BCN
Does not work if you have both the TMBApp and FGC App installed together in your phone. Useless
WARNING
Do not use this app. Once you purchase a pass, it will never let you use it displaying an NFC error. Nonexistent customer service. You will never see your money again. I wonder how this scam is even legal. Such an embarrassment for otherwise excellent Barcelona public transport.
Doesn’t work from US App Store
You can download the app from the US store. But when you launch the app it freezes at the start up screen. Nothing else happens.
I understand that Apple restricts NFC access for transit apps to EU regions. However, it might be worth reconsidering publishing the app on the US App Store if it is not usable by travelers from outside the EU.
Having the app available globally creates confusion for international visitors who download it expecting it to work, only to find it freezes or fails to function. This leads to frustration and negative reviews, which I’m sure is not your intention.
Perhaps adding a clear note in the App Store description explaining that “This app only works for iPhones set to an EU region due to Apple NFC restrictions” or restricting availability to EU countries would help set proper expectations.

This app shouldn’t even be available on the US App Store, since it doesn’t work with US devices

Can’t be used unless you’re an EU resident or you “change your Apple ID to an EU location” which is absurd because all your subscriptions and Apple One etc are linked to where you live.
No se activa el NFC
No, no aparece la opción de activar el NFC (or contactless) en la configuración. Tengo una tarjeta sin usar estancada ahí porque la aplicación no sirve. Devuélvanme mi dinero.

Can we please come to the year 2025 and make an app that works without 12 steps or wasting money. We are not living in 2005 anymore, it shouldn’t be this low level.
