The forest leaves clues. Cepello reads them for you. For the species you pick, Cepello highlights every patch of Switzerland with a favourable biotope — then lays a weather verdict on top: "Good chances", "Possible", or not worth the walk today. THE ZONES For every 10 m square the app computes a score from 0 to 100 out of public data: relief, slope, aspect, forest type and tree species, geology, soil pH, vegetation belt. Each species has its own ecological profile, drawn from the mycological literature. The zones do not depend on the weather: they answer "where to go". THE WEATHER VERDICT The weather answers "when". Cepello combines the species' season, the rain of recent weeks and the forecast: enough rain followed by mild nights triggers a flush after a delay specific to each species. The flush index reads over 14 days. THE SPECIES Penny bun (porcini), chanterelle, morel, horn of plenty. YOUR JOURNAL Log your finds, with a photo and a position. Everything stays on your phone: no account, no server, and your spots are never transmitted. Export a backup whenever you like. FORAGING RULES Swiss cantonal rules and those of neighbouring countries, summarised, with a link to the official text that governs. FREE AND PREMIUM The free version shows the broad favourable zones. Premium shows every precise spot, what makes it good, and the 7-day forecast with the flush window. WHAT TO KNOW The zones are estimates: they show where the biotope is favourable, not where the mushrooms are. Cepello guarantees no harvest and does not identify mushrooms.
