Avoid this company
Fees are higher than competitors and, as others have noted, they employ dubious tactics to try to prevent you from withdrawing your money.
In August 2026 I was asked to provide copious amounts of information, including screen shots, from a crypto transaction in 2024, as a “verification step”to enable me to withdraw my money.
This is despite the app showing me as verified after providing banking details, national insurance number, passport details, address, linking cards etc etc.
I still have not been able to withdraw the funds I have sitting in my CEX account.
Interestingly, Santander and Barclays have both recently started refusing to process payments to this company, citing fraud prevention / protection.

Very Disappointed With CEX.IO Support
I have been using CEX.IO for a long time without any problems. I am a UK customer and I used to be able to deposit money with my debit card. Then suddenly the card deposit option disappeared and now the app only shows crypto deposits.
I contacted customer support and they told me they were migrating UK users and asked me to wait a couple of days. It has now been more than two months and nothing has changed. I have received no clear updates and no real solution.
This has been very frustrating because I cannot use the service the way I used to. If you are going to migrate customers, at least keep them informed with honest updates instead of making them wait for months.
At this point I am seriously thinking about deleting my CEX.IO account because I have completely lost confidence in the service. I hope this review encourages the company to improve its communication and support for UK customers.

Non-existent support from Eastern Europe. Highest fees in industry and issues withdrawing funds.

This site is very poor and won’t pay
I’ve never experienced anything like this in my entire life. A crypto exchange that has no money.
They do promotions advertising sign up bonus for new user.
What they don’t say is it’s limited to 100 customers and they won’t make an announcement when the spots have been filled.
They run promotions that have expired for weeks and customers receive no bonus.
Some would that call a scam.
This is not a legitimate crypto exchange like kraken or others

Withdrawal options not still available after 3 constant updates
Withdrawal options not still available after 3 constant updates, this is starting to look like a fraudulent app holding on to peoples money for no exact reason
WARNING DO NOT USE! SCAM
They charge a 3% fee which is 3x+ higher than anywhere else and they will restrict your account for no reason and give no explanation and you won’t be able to move your crypto to your wallet they are SCAMMERS BEWARE. They forced me to sell my bitcoin and transfer cash via ACH and said “they don’t have to give a reason” DANGER they say what they’re doing is “legal” but they’re using the law to ROB PEOPLE. Bitcoin is up $1500 since they forced me to sell and they are still holding my money hostage, the transfer to my bank has been pending for 24 hours with no explanation. I threatened to report them to Apple and the money went through shortly after but I would look for any other option to buy crypto if you can.

Fees too high
They charge a 3% fee to buy bitcoin and there’s no warning about it before you buy. 3% is a massive fee almost no one charges that much.
Don’t use
This app holds your crypto a minimum of 5 days. Then when you go to transfer it, they hold it 2 more days. Don’t waste your time
High Fees, Misleading Promotions
This app is not worth using. I’ve tried many crypto apps, and this app has some of the highest fees I’ve ever seen. On top of that, they have very misleading referral offers. They bury language in their T&Cs that invalidates what’s posted in bold language. Really shady company, would not recommend.

I did send it. And you all say you can’t approve it. Everything I sent. You all don’t approve. You all either delete it or say it’s not good enough.

You can’t even accept this video on the website without it being deleted. No threat a promise I will write in reviews to let people know exactly when you guys are pulling with me now I appreciate my money back so I can delete this app and not yet or use it again

Doesn’t let you do anything with your crypto immediately
I literally put $500 into the app and over a week of nothing, not able to withdraw or send it, so converted it back into USD to send it back to myself only for it to still not allow me to do anything very poor app
Unable to withdraw or send to another wallet. APP A SCAM DONT USE
After all verifications and 2FA and even waited for 5days, I’m still unable to withdraw to my other wallet everytime I try to withdraw it takes me to my debit card and PayPal like I want to make a deposit which I just want to move my bitcoin I bought to my other wallet it’s not fair and this app is a SCAM
