Works perfectly

I needed a solution to modify the Accept header on reddit image CDN subdomains. This is the only iOS Safari extension I could find that looked promising.

Setting up the extension was fairly straightforwards, similar to most other Safari extensions that require page manipulation permissions. The linked how to guide in the main app was very helpful. I got turned around at one point and was unsure why it wasn't working, but with the help of that guide, I rechecked my settings and found one that had been missed the first time through. Fixing that setting got it working right away.

Writing rules was a bit unintuitive at first. You'll definitely want to refer to the linked how to guide in the main app, as the syntax for certain things is decidedly non-standard (e.g. the use of spaces to separate multiple domains). It was also a bit unclear at first why there were two fields (one for domain matching and one for url matching), and that certainly confused me at first. However with the aid of the reference guide, I quickly realized why there were two different fields, and using the example shown in said guide, I was able to determine which field was correct for my use.

With the aid of the reference page from said support site, I was able to quickly put together two rules that handled the header manipulations necessary to force reddit to display images natively instead of forcibly wrapping them in html garbage. Once both rules were in place and the one setting that I had initially missed was corrected, the extension worked perfectly.

Since the url domain match list supports multiple domains, I may go ahead and combine both rules into a single rule at some later point since it's applying the same manipulation to both domains. The space based syntax for multiple domains was weird enough that I just wrote two separate rules to start off with to be safe.

There's a lot of functionality crammed into this extension. The only thing that's kind of missing is having the ability to view and edit rules within the app itself (like RedirectWeb), but that's far from essential functionality. The current version is pretty good on its own, just slightly more awkward to use than it could be.

Overall, this is a very powerful extension that is well worth the purchase price.

My overall rating is 4.5 stars. If the rule viewing/editing functionality was present in the app itself, I'd give this a solid 5.0 stars.

Cannot set custom headers! Waste of money!

It won't let me set a specific header that my website needs for authentication..! Only a select few work. Waste of money.

Stop with the smart kid noise

And give me a checkbox to turn off .webp and .pnj. I don’t want to learn markup, I don’t want to learn about useragent strings. I want copy/paste to work the way I want.
