Loses Critical Information
Recurring transactions do not automatically enter as set. Latest update removed appearance features which is difficult for dyslexics like me. Updates should warn if features will be removed or appearance changed. I thought the failure to enter recurring transactions would be “fixed” by the update. It wasn’t. I’m going back to a paper ledger because I’m sick of this “bait and switch,” removing previously “free” features to try to force you to upgrade. Do not recommend.

Not too keen on seeing two different balances. There should be a way to toggle off “available now”

I have been using this app since 2019. I know this because I can see my register all the way back to the first entry. Hands down the best one out there. Thank you for providing a basic register without the unnecessary fluff. And thanks for your latest update!!
Right Price and Perfect for a Couple
This APP plain and simple does what it says at a crazy cheap price that keeps your budget on track and allows your other half to follow along and make entries from their device. You can’t beat the value to functionality. PERIOD!!!

Best Checkbook App
I have been using this simple checkbook for years and years - across both Android and iPhones. It’s simple and gives you straight checkbook entry / reconcile functionality . I started trying other checkbook apps because it had been a really long time since this perfect app was updated and I worried it would no longer run on my older iPhone but NO OTGER ALL I TRIED gave me just a simple checkbook. They were all full of these bells and whistles that I didn’t want.
Now the app has been updated and you can choose to have the bells and whistles, but the app works great and I no longer worry about it not running on my iPhone. The developer has even made some handy improvements. Very responsive to feedback.
I just think this I should be the checkbook app that everyone tries. It’s really that good.

Category Problem
The category isn’t working properly.
Last update made it unusable
After the last update, my wife and my apps do not sync up correctly. We have tried to email support and the email just bounces back. Ridiculous that we pay for premium and get subpar performance.

Have been using app for years and love using.
ok, but not great
It serves a temporary purpose, but I prefer the program I have on my desktop, which unfortunately is not compatible with iPad. This one can be cumbersome to find things and the categories, which are required to move forward, often do not apply to the purpose of the entry. I have to do a lot of “winging it.”

I like it and do not like the app
I like the idea of being able to share the app with your spouse.
I do not like having to choose categories for everything!! The app needs a toggle switch to turn off categories.
I have used a checkbook app for the last 4 years on my phone. However, moving from android to Apple forced me to change apps. The transition for this app has been a challenge.
I think if there was a category toggle switch it would relieve a lot of my frustration.

Long time user
I’ve been using this app for many years, it’s easy to use and I manage numerous accounts with it. I’m so happy to have the search functionality back at the individual account level as well as for all accounts with the most recent update, I missed that badly when it was a removed a few years ago. I do wish I could generate spend reports by merchant or expense name in addition to expense category. Regardless, excellent app with good functionality and stable, consistent performance.

Crashes all the time
Every update makes this app more unreliable. Change the category, crash. Correct the name, crash. Change expense to income, crash. Time to move on. This app was great a yr ago.
The best if all
This is the best app of all ledger ones. Support is the best. Suggested a change to make the app even better and guess what…it was done within hours and was available just a few days later. Before this, I had 2 apps …now this one dies it all!!! I highly recommend it.
Not good since the update
Ever since the update you have to put in the category of your purchase every time. Previously, the category would auto fill if you had used it before. Now you have to do this step every time. Unless it’s fixed, I’ll soon be changing Checkbook apps.
Essential
I have been using this app for over 10 years. It wasn’t updated for a long time and I was genuinely worried that it would stop working on these newer IOS versions. In 2026 it was suddenly updated and now I can stop worrying about finding a checkbook app.
This is the BEST CHECKBOOK and Account app you will ever use. It is very simple and does the job of keeping track of your accounts. Thank you for deciding to keep this app working. I had started looking for a replacement and am so grateful I no longer have to.
