Waste of time
There are very few options on coupons and when you actually need something it’s no longer available. They really need to expand their options

Only reason for 4 stars is there’s not enough fresh fruit, meat and veggies offered. I don’t buy much pre-boxed items.
Outdated/Slow
Besides the fact that there aren’t many different offers at a time, the app is just filled with delays and bugs. They are also very inconsistent with receipt checks

When App first launched it WAS for everyone…
Used to offer rewards for commonly purchased products. Such as school snacks, discount or store brand products, and you didn’t always have to purchase the mega-sized / family sized option to earn $1-$3. I LOVED this app when it first started, I cashed out my minimum $20 TWICE within 6 months! Now it’s just so beyond extremely selective. The average income household can barely afford anything on the weekly lists. You can forget about low income households, which is sadly where I have ended up after an unexpected medical trauma. I was just about to delete the app altogether but I thought I’d leave my feelings about all the changes first. If your looking for a fair Canadian receipt app use “Receipt Hog”

Information is inaccurate…
I waste my time making sure the receipt is EXACTLY as the item on the image, as well as the date. Yet, they rarely give me my reward. Once, of if I am ever able to reach the $20 or higher. I am going to withdraw the money and delete my account. This app is a BIG WASTE OF TIME and crossing my fingers to get my cashback… This app is an embarrassment… Never again…

Used to be good
Started out good, but the last few years I haven’t been able to earn anything because the offers cannot be used with coupons and run out. Haven’t been able to earn the minimum to cash out and found out the hard way they start deducting from your balance if you aren’t active enough. So disappointed I lost a lot of money I had earned.

Awesome App
App has gone downhill
I used to use this app all the time and I actually cashed out once. But the offers have really gone down hill. You used to get cash back offers for buying fruit or vegetables or common products. Now it seems like the offers are on very niche products that target a very tiny market. I’m going to delete the app. It’s not worth it anymore.

Great app
I have used Checkout 51 for almost 3 years now. I like that I can get all my coupons in one spot online and I don’t have to worry about remembering coupons at the checkout. I have forgotten to claim offers before the receipt was thrown away or lost so I have missed out on a few things, but this app has saved me or returned to me nearly $300. Even though it has saved me that much money I find that some weeks there are no offers at all that I can use and most of the time there are only a couple of offers that are relevant to me. I wish the app could learn from the offers that I do redeem and find more coupons that were relevant to me.

Won’t cash out/closed accounts
They give you the items with cashback, limit you to a set number of each item…
If you accumulate any amount of cash, you’re accused of violating the terms - closed account
Buy things two weeks in a row…you’re returning them, and they close your account.
No recourse, just automatic close.

Offers aren’t great. Seems like when I do get a product on the list, it usually turns out that I got it at a store where it isn’t valid.
A lot of junky stuff, and wine! So much wine!

Payout check never received
For me this company is a Scam. I cashed out and never got the check, sent a support ticket and was told it would be reissued. Not received. Maybe if you use PayPal / Venmo you would get paid 🤷♀️
Horrible app
I used to love this app before, then return just couple months. I tried almost 5 times to redeem some of the cash back, and they keep on rejecting it. Especially makeup, I am completely disappointed. I don’t recommend this app at all. Deleting it!!!!!!!
Out of stock items
I used to use this app all the time, but the last few times I have bought the product and then went to get my cash back. The response is that there are no longer any left. So I am stuck with the product and no cash back. One time I returned the product to the store. If they are going to put them up there, there should be enough product for everyone who buys their products

I’m so thankful for Checkout51. With so many rebate sites/apps going down, it’s nice to be able to rely on this one!
Cheats you
If you don’t use add to this acct regularly then they take your money. Of course they need to put things in there that people actually buy on a regular basis. Worst money back site ever
