Highly Useful for Field Work

As a commercial building inspector I have used this app when paper safety data sheets weren’t available onsite. Clients have been amazed when I have emailed them the appropriate SDS while still at their location. Don’t know how many different SDS’s the app contains but it must be in the thousands.

FAQ

What is this app?

This application provides International Chemical Safety Cards (ICSCs), which are concise, two-page summaries of essential health and safety information for chemicals. They are designed for use by workers and employers at the shop floor level to augment occupational health and safety.

How is this different from an MSDS?

While similar to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), ICSCs offer a more concise, standardized, and simpler format. MSDS can be lengthy, lack a standard format, and be technically complex, whereas ICSCs are peer-reviewed and consistently presented on 1-2 pages.

What are the key features of this app?

Key features include a fully indexed and searchable chemical list by name, CAS#, or RTECS#, a saved history of viewed chemicals, the ability to mark and view favorites, filters for specific chemical types (Oilfield, Construction, EPA, OSHA), email and AirPrint capabilities, and offline access.

Is this app free to use?

Yes, the application is available for free. There are no in-app purchases or advertisements mentioned, indicating it is a free resource for accessing chemical safety information.

What kind of information can I find in the app?

You can find essential health and safety information on chemicals, summarized in a two-page format. This includes details relevant for workers and employers to understand potential hazards and safe handling practices in various workplaces.
