The best Plan, Shop, Cook App!

Love this app, brilliant customer service, they really encourage feedback from users. The app just keeps getting better, the swaps function is great, always great meals you can personalise to suit your preferences. Knowing you are providing a meal for a child that may need one is amazing and really sets this apart from other apps. Very caring company.

Great app with lots of value

I use this app every week to do my general shop on top of meals for the week. Most of the recipes are delicious with easy to follow instructions. Because the app uses supermarket delivery or click & collect it works out much cheaper than meal kit boxes but with more convenience.

Some minor tweaks would be good

All is good, I just really wish there were 2 things available:
- change a store on any point of order. I want to see in which one it’s gonna cost less. I even emptied my basket and still can not switch because “I’m amending an order”.
- be able to search recipes based on extra ingredients that are left from other picked recipes.

Didn’t understand it

Hi, I purchased your pro subscription as I thought we could plan our meals + add leftovers with that subscription but that was not the case.

Please refund me the 41.99 I spent on this, I had to cancel the subscription and delete my account immediately after since it didn’t have the features I was told it would have.

Not budget friendly

2 recipes 8 portions £4,50 a portion. Recommend £1.50 tinned tomatoes when Tesco are currently offering £0.43 tinned tomatoes. Recipes are wired and wonderful with Jamie Oliver levels of faff. Not recommended for time stretched and budget conscious families. Sorry I really liked the idea of this app as well.

Cannot signup

None of the create account paths allow me to paste a password, or allow iOS to autofill a secure password. So the only way to sign up is to manually add a (likely) insecure password. No thanks.

Paprika app is better

I wanted this to be good. It is not. The paprika app does exactly the same and only costs 5£ one off.

Previously 5 Stars

I loved this app when it was free and I’ve been paying to use its low tier subscription for a while but I feel like I get even less than I did when it was free.

So many of the recipes have been taken off, there is rarely any new recipes and when there is they are often side dishes or snacks and not full meals.

The fact that you can’t add in your own recipes without paying for the over expensive tier is ridiculous and means I no longer use the app and I’ve ended up wasting money rather than saving it.

Overall it’s disappointing and you’re better off spending the subscription money on a couple of recipe books you will actually use.

Combine shopping for recipes with your everyday shop

This app is wonderful. You choose the recipes that you like the look of and it works out what you should order and adds them to your shopping basket. If you already have some of the ingredients you can uncheck them. Then, in addition, you can order any other items that you need.

My meals are healthier, tastier and cheaper. And it’s getting my teens into cooking too. You can share a recipe for someone else to cook.

I wish I’d used it sooner. Thank you Cherrypick!

Healthy, diverse, and a big time-saver!

I’ve placed over 10 orders with Cherrypick, and it’s been a great way to eat healthier than I usually do. I’ve also discovered new cuisines I wouldn’t have tried otherwise. The recipes are straightforward, and having everything planned out really saves me time during the week. The only thing I’d improve is the final product list — I usually double-check it to make sure quantities haven’t increased unexpectedly. Other than that, it’s been super convenient and enjoyable!

Amazingly helpful!

I have struggled with planning my meals for ages but this app has helped so much. I waste less food because I use the app to plan my meals for the week and feel like I save money in the long run! I don’t use the delivery function as it’s connected to Sainsbury’s but I use the shopping list function which is just as handy! I’m finally eating healthy thanks to this app, highly recommend!

Life Hack

This app has helped me stay organised and reduce my weekly grocery spend. By planning my meals around a couple ingredients this has helped me cut down on food waste and those extra trips to the store.

Broken subscription model

I created a bunch of recipes prior to this app needing a subscription.

The app now says the recipe I created is “Exclusive to plus” despite being “Added by me” and the fact I pay for their lower tier subscription.

Genuinely can’t fathom what their developers/product team were thinking when they made the decision to lock paying customers out of their own data.

Completely eroded my trust in them.

Second or third time trying this service. End up struggling on the doorstep every time trying to move goods from the plastic stacking crates into bags with no help. Used to be only Sainsbury’s that left me stuck like this but Asda is now doing the same. I was going to leave a1 star but that’s unfair to the app. I’m going to leave it open but just use it for a recipe and shopping list and not waste my energy on the supermarkets that are letting them down.

So useful

This app is so helpful to plan and shop for meals, I didn’t realise how much I needed it! It’s helped me to cook at home more and eat healthier because it’s all planned in advance on a busy week.

Con artists

I bought the subscription and as soon as I paid the money I was logged out and not able to get back in saying that my account didn’t exist - though they where happy to take my money! Absolutely outrageous and I can’t even contact the team to discuss. Wouldn’t trust these guys at all!!

Not correct recipe

I added that I needed dairy and gluten-free recipes because I have family members with intolerances and yet it still gave me recipes with dairy and gluten in not pleased

Amazing!

I’ve really been enjoying this app! The recipes are easy to follow, and the meal planning feature makes grocery shopping so much simpler. I also love that it connects to different supermarkets for quick ordering.

One suggestion: it would be great to see Aldi added to the list of available stores. They offer great prices and quality products, which would make meal planning even more budget-friendly. Hope to see this added in a future update!

Too many glitches

I’ve tried several apps for this purpose and ran this one through the trial. It’s simply too glitchy. It’s easy to import recipes but that’s only possible on paid plan, the shopping list it generates are wildly inaccurate, it doesn’t combine things very well. For example 3 recipes asking for half a teaspoon of paprika generated 3 jars of paprika.
Spent many hours trying to adjust and check quantities. Recipes already with a batch of 6 for example a cake, if you say 5 servings it creates 5*6

Samsung food formerly whisk handles this stuff so much better.

Unfortunately not for me and will delete

A good app but I wish the method showed the ingredient amounts.

I have made a couple meals with this now and they have been really good.

I personally tend to buy in store and my first stop is Aldi to see what I can get there first before going to Tesco or Sainsbury’s.

My one gripe is that the recipes seem to not show the quantities of the ingredients on the recipe itself, only in the ingredients tab so I find myself flicking back and forth when I really shouldn’t need to.
