A Turn in the right direction
Response from developer
Great to have Apple users on board — no more emulator. Your three requests are noted: notation and analysis side by side, engine selection, and hotkeys for symbols. Exactly the depth we're building toward. Share more on your prep workflow at support@chessbase.com if you like.
Turn off the arrows
Response from developer
Under Settings > Board you can toggle "Engine Arrow" off. If the arrows you mean are the last-move markers rather than the engine arrows, that specific toggle isn't there yet — we've noted it as a request. Please tell us at support@chessbase.com which arrows you mean so we address the right one.

Vielen Dank! Puzzle Fight und AI Kibitzer ausprobiert? Würde uns interessieren, wie sie ankommen.
Replay Training and Turning off Engine features missing
One of the great features the program has that I think would translate really well to the mobile app is replay training (aka solitaire chess). Chessbase’s version of this type of training is simply the best I have seen as you can get a score and compare against the engine which helps gamify what can otherwise be a difficult task as you’re trying to replicate the moves of a great player. While this exists in the app as Guess Variation, it doesn’t have the scoring and the engine comparison that exists in the program. Would love to see this feature!
Also, I can’t turn off the engine. Shows up as Let’s Check automatically and I often don’t want to see the engine when reviewing games!
Response from developer
Thank you for the detailed feedback and the great suggestions. We’re glad you enjoy access to your games and databases on mobile. Replay Training with scoring/engine comparison is a very interesting idea for future updates. We also understand the request for better engine control while reviewing games.
