Needs some work

WHEN WILL YOU FIX NOTES TO NOT HAVE VARYING TEXT SPACING AND WEIRD SWIPE OUT TIMES. EMBED THE TIMES SO WE DO NOT NEED TO SWIPE ONE BY ONE

* edit *

You guys literally broke the time display in the latest update. Who’s coding this? Basic edge case. Maybe find a way to display the notes and times better because why should we suppress times automatically. Feels like two guys hobby project not a professional software company.

iPad UX/UI is awful and clunky and doesn’t prioritize incident views. Requires multiple presses just to view an incident.

This app needs a significant overhaul but it’s obvious the developers are providing barely any progress or roadmap. Wouldn’t recommend.

App crashes daily. WTF.

Good app - but I wish I could select the default for chronology of the notes. I prefer to read oldest to newest, and wish it would remember my selection. Also the font being sentence case is so bad and hard to read. It should be all caps like cad. Having to slide over for the times is ridiculous, it should be formatted better so the times are just present. Love the access to info but a lot of our users report the display of info needs work.

Good, but could be better

Icons on map, especially hydrants don’t stand out enough on hybrid map style. Even setting them to the largest size doesn’t help that much. Also notifications volume is linked to media volume. Not ringtone volume. If you have your media volume turned down low you can miss an alert. Lastly, when reaching out to support about any issue you never get a reply or a response. Very frustrating.

CarPlay

It would be nice to have CarPlay capability and also android capability so you don’t have to look at your phone when there’s a call coming in

Awesome!

Features work as designed works seamless!

FAQ

What does Chief Mobile do?

Chief Mobile provides real-time incident alerts and mapping directly from your 911 dispatch center. It uses redundant alerting methods, including Tone Alerting and CAD Alerting, to ensure you receive critical information quickly. The app also facilitates communication among personnel and allows for status updates and schedule viewing.

How does the alerting system work?

The app features redundant alerting, combining Tone Alerting, which functions like a traditional fire pager, with CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) Alerting. This dual approach ensures you are notified of new dispatches through multiple channels, minimizing the risk of missed alerts.

Can I communicate with other personnel through the app?

Yes, you can receive messages sent by other personnel, such as announcements about open shifts or training. The latest version also allows you to reply to these messages, enhancing team coordination and information flow.

Is Chief Mobile free to use?

The application is free to download and use, but it offers in-app purchases. These purchases likely unlock advanced features or services that enhance its functionality for professional use.

What kind of information can I see on the map?

When a new dispatch occurs, you will be forwarded to an incident information screen that includes a map. This map allows you to quickly visualize the location of the incident, aiding in faster and more efficient response planning.
