It’s essential for daily life; the real-time GPS accuracy is excellent. It gives me great peace of mind to know exactly when my child's bus is arriving. It’s easy to use and saves a lot of time in the mornings. It would be great if they added an option to notify the driver directly if the child isn't attending that day, but overall, it works perfectly. Highly recommended!

Bus Tracker
The Bus Tracker is currently not providing the Estimated Time of Arrival. It only states Bus Diver Not Reporting. This needs to be corrected.

It’s confusing, unreliable, and makes it difficult to know where the bus actually is. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement

PGCPS needs to find a better and more reliable and accurate bus tracking system!! This app has not been correct ONE TIME! False arrival alerts. Does not show real time location. JUST HORRIBLE!

Drop off yesterday was on time put for the pickup this morning on my app it says route 7:25 but I almost missed the bus by 7:12 so I don’t know if that’s how it’s been done. Am new and it my first time using this app so I don’t know if that how it been done. For the Madam taking care of the kids in bus 5052 she’s so caring I appreciate her too .

Made an account but I can’t log in because the app claims my password or username is incorrect even though it is correct. Resetted my password three times and still said it was incorrect. The app might just be useless at this point

Awful. Consistently shows the wrong bus. Toggle function doesn’t work. No customer service. Absolute waste of any school systems money. Actively trying to get ours to change to a better platform.
Inaccurate useless problematic
Zero stars if I could. Nothing about it works properly. Bus is not on schedule, notifications are late, bus 20 minutes early. Awful waste of time money and resources

Chipmunk Falls Short
This is my family’s second year with this app since our school district transitioned to Chipmunk SY 25/26. Last school year Chipmunk was unreliable. This year Chipmunk has completely failed. Families rely on Chipmunk to effectively communicate to us. Chipmunk does not do that. Instead Chipmunk leaves many families in Maryland’s Prince George’s County Public School system justifiably frustrated. Chipmunk needs to go! 0 stars!

This app is extremely frustrating and unreliable. For something that is supposed to help parents track their children’s school buses, the ETA is rarely accurate, and half the time the app won’t even open when you need it.
Parents rely on bus tracking for their children’s safety and to know when to have them at the bus stop. An app used for something this important needs to be dependable. I honestly don’t understand why the county approved a system that is this inconsistent.
PGCPS says Chipmunk is supposed to provide real-time bus locations and accurate ETA information, but that has not been my experience at all. The app needs major improvements in reliability, loading, GPS tracking, and ETA accuracy.
At this point, it creates more frustration and uncertainty than reassurance. I would not recommend Chipmunk as a reliable way to track a child’s school bus.
