CityBee Descriminates against Israeli passport holders!
I spent two hours trying to register for a CityBee account, and the entire process was a nightmare.
The app is incredibly glitchy, and the identity verification process repeatedly failed. We had to call customer service six times just to get through registration. After they finally accepted our U.S. driver’s license, we reached the passport verification step - only to discover that CityBee does not accept an Israeli passport.
This is unacceptable and discriminatory. I travel internationally with this passport, and governments and border authorities around the world recognize Israel and accept Israeli passports. Yet somehow CityBee’s verification system simply excludes Israeli passport holders.
Whether this is a deliberate policy or an unbelievably poorly designed verification system, the result is the same: Israeli customers are prevented from using the service because of their nationality/passport.
Two hours wasted, six calls to customer service, and still no account. Absolutely terrible experience.

Amazing service
Karolis was very helpful in resolving my registration issues. I was able to easily register and upload my driver's license, which was instantly approved. The app itself needs no explanation- one of the most helpful transportation services in the Baltics!!

Impossible to use it again
I haven’t used this service for couple years because I didn’t travel.
Now I wanted to use but it is a nightmare to update phone number.
It’s not 1996, it’s 2026 and you keep asking to send email in order to update the phone number.
If you are traveling from another country and had old Citybee account you are out of luck. You can’t update it and you can’t create a new one because the driver’s license is still associated with the old account.
Terrible design. Extreme waste of time and horrible customer experience.

Compared to the onerous and bureaucratic car hire system in the Uk - this was like heaven!! Highly recommended.
