There are glaring issues on the app. Slideshows and videos that are abrupt and crop images with no adjustment tool.
On a fresh account with clearly no violations, going live isn’t possible, your videos do not get pushed and when you message them on the issue…crickets for more than a week.

Come on guys, my iPad lives on its side. You and Snapchat are the only apps that do not correct on an iPad for being on its side. Consequently, when I’m on my iPad, I don’t look at clapper. It’s 2026 guys this isn’t complicated.

The first thing you always see when you open this app is a video of someone getting badly injured…or worse! Apple/Google have some decency standards and remove this trash from your store.

Clapper claims to be a creative social platform, but in reality it’s a breeding ground for unchecked bullying, stalking, and defamation that destroys lives while the company does next to nothing about it.
The moderation is an absolute joke. Reports disappear into the void, met with nothing but robotic, generic replies that say they “take safety seriously” while toxic users run wild. Burner accounts are everywhere because Clapper doesn’t bother checking IPs or device IDs—it’s practically an open invitation for abusers. Live streams and comment sections have become unbearable war zones, driving people away and leaving creators isolated and emotionally drained.
This isn’t occasional oversight. It’s a clear pattern: profit over people. Features designed for engagement are weaponized to amplify harm with zero meaningful safeguards. Young creators trying to build something positive get chewed up and spat out while the worst offenders face no real consequences.
Apple has pulled apps for far less serious violations. Clapper’s blatant disregard for user safety, harassment policies, and basic platform responsibility makes it a liability. If the App Store guidelines mean anything, Apple should launch a full investigation and remove this app before more people get hurt.
Clapper needs to either fix its broken system immediately or be taken off the store. Right now it’s failing creators, failing its community, and failing basic decency. One star is generous. Do not download.
