Star Review Title: Urgent Safety and Moderation Failures Demand Immediate Apple Review
Review Body:
As a longtime user of social platforms, I expect apps distributed through the App Store to uphold Apple’s high standards for user safety, responsible moderation, and protection from harm—standards clearly outlined in the App Review Guidelines. Unfortunately, Clapper falls dangerously short in these areas.
The platform has systemic issues with bullying and harassment that are not only permitted but actively enabled by inadequate tools, slow response times, and apparent indifference to reports. Users experiencing targeted abuse, including coordinated attacks, doxxing attempts, and relentless verbal cruelty, repeatedly document their distress through official channels only to be met with silence or generic automated replies. This isn’t occasional oversight; it’s a pattern that leaves vulnerable individuals—many of whom are young creators building communities—isolated and emotionally harmed while the content proliferates unchecked.
Features intended for engagement appear to amplify toxic behavior without sufficient safeguards, turning what should be a creative space into an environment where harm is facilitated rather than prevented. When users publicly share their experiences and cry out for intervention, the lack of meaningful enforcement sends a clear message that platform growth is prioritized over basic human decency and safety.
Apple has long positioned itself as a leader in protecting users from predatory and abusive content. An app with this level of documented moderation failure and user neglect does not align with those values. I urge Apple to conduct a thorough investigation into Clapper’s practices to ensure compliance with App Store policies on user protection, harassment prevention, and timely support. The well-being of the community depends on it.
This review reflects real user experiences and calls for accountability that benefits everyone.
