As a teacher, this app is wonderful to help students realize that small efforts combined have real impact. Students can submit data on a field trip or on a family vacation. It’s important that they understand their role in this process, this app helps students tally and sort their data collections.

Logs you out without reason and loses your data
App logged me out and refused to let me back in despite me resetting my password and trying to make a new account, so we lost all of the progress we were tracking during our coastal cleanup.

Better than ever!
I’ve always loved doing cleanups at the beach or my local park with Clean Swell, and the new update makes it even better! The interface is really clean and easy to used and the Take Action page has great articles about plastic pollution and ways to get involved beyond cleaning up.
I think it’s so cool that everything I collect can be used for scientific research to help prevent plastic pollution in the first place!

Stopped working
App does not launch. Too bad!
App can’t be launched on iOS 15.1.1
Our family picks trash every time we go for a walk. My kids love getting the badges and were disappointed today that the app didn’t launch. It keeps crashing, I deleted the app and reinstalled but have luck. Can you fix this issue?
App will not open
I loved this app and had it for a few years. I got a new phone and downloaded the app again, but it will not open after multiple attempts to uninstall and reinstall it. Again when this app works it is awesome but if it will not open it is worthless.

Unable to Create Account
I have been trying to create an account through the app for the last couple of weeks. Always gives me an error message.
Unable to register
This app will not even let me register. I’ve tried multiple times but nothing happens when I try to submit my information.
Can’t even register
I typically never write reviews but I have downloaded and deleted and re-downloaded this app multiple times, restarted my phone and tried every trick possible, but I can’t even get past the registration page. It keeps giving me a registration error... I then tried doing “forgot password” to try anything different to get me into the app but then I received a password error message. I’ve literally tried every possible option but can’t register to use the app. Unfortunately, I didn’t even want to download the app due to limited storage on my phone but I wanted to register for a location for international coastal cleanup day and this was the only option to do that. Now I can’t even register a cleanup site. Really disappointed. :(

Great but...
I love clean swell a lot and it motivates me to clean up more trash and not just at the beach, but today I recorded a hour long cleanup with 26 pounds of trash picked up but it wouldn’t log it in. I put it in again and it submitted it but wouldn’t show up. Pls fix soon. 🙏🏻🐬

No way to share later
We had one person doing the days entry while collecting, so we got good data. When we finished and submitted, it asked if we wanted to share. I was not ready and did not. Now there is no way to share on social media or send the data to someone else. My son wants the data for school. Frustrating, but otherwise good.

Great if it worked!
I pick up trash EVERY SINGLE DAY. Full bags when I go to the beach/ocean several times a week. Then I log in my “take”. After a couple weeks, the app said I hadn’t registered and was new. Starting over. So my last several pounds of trash didn’t count? PLUS it takes FOREVER for your information to be registered. Today I opened the app and tried to enter the last few collections. The wheel keeps going around indicating it is still “thinking”. Entering information. Frustrating. Happens frequently. Not sure if this will work !!! Wish it would tho!!!

Won’t let me register
I always get an error when attempting to register/create an account. Can’t tell if there are requirements for the password or something is wrong with the app/server.
Easy data collection
I like the app, but would recommend being able to add pictures from my library, not just the camera. I have pictures of our cleanup, but they are in my library and I am not able to attach to the app.
Brilliant idea
Don’t live near a beach but I pick up rubbish as I walk around day to day and it feels like it doesn’t make a huge difference but this helps remind me of the small impact I can make! Can’t wait to use it when I go to the beach over summer
