About

Clearday is a counter for anyone stepping away from something — alcohol, nicotine, cannabis, gambling, sugar, social media, or anything else you name. It's built around one idea most apps in this category get wrong: starting again should never erase what you already did. Most sobriety and quit apps punish a reset — wiping your streak back to zero, like the last stretch never happened. Clearday doesn't. Start again and your old streak is filed into your history, never deleted, while a new count begins. Every run you've ever had, including the ones that ended, still counts toward your longest stretch and still shows up in your journal. NO ACCOUNT. NO TRACKING. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into. Clearday doesn't collect data, doesn't use analytics, and doesn't talk to a server — the app has no network code in it at all. Everything you enter is stored on your device, in your control, for as long as you keep the app. Want a copy for yourself? Export your full history as a plain file, any time. WHAT'S IN IT - A live counter — days, hours, minutes, right down to the second - Money saved and units avoided, if you choose to track a daily cost - Milestones: round numbers like 30 and 90 days, plus general, published information about what tends to happen physically after stopping alcohol or nicotine specifically (not medical advice — see below) - A daily check-in: a mood and a private note, kept in a running journal - Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets that show your count without opening the app - Track more than one thing at once, side by side FREE, HONESTLY Clearday is free to use for as long as you use it, for one habit: the full counter screen, the small Home Screen widget, and the Lock Screen count. No trial clock, no nagging, no feature you lose after a week. Clearday+ is an annual subscription with a 7-day free trial, and adds: - Unlimited habits, tracked side by side - Your entire journal (the free tier keeps your most recent 7 entries — nothing older is ever deleted, just locked until you subscribe) - Every widget size, Home Screen and Lock Screen - Data export as a plain file you keep Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings, including during the trial. No streak-loss shaming, no badges, no confetti. Just a plain number, and what it's bought you back.
