I’ve been playing this app virtually EVERY day for some 5 years. Great fun and I’ve made some great friends!!!
Best game w friends
Have made some REALLY GOOD friends thru this app. The trick is to “friend” people you play with (or find thru the Daily Guesser). Search by name and ID icon and add them as a friend. Nobody gets notified they’ve been friended but it makes creating new games a lot easier. Generic flying solo games are hit or miss. Often they never get past go bec people don’t check notifications. Find people you like playing with, USE the chat feature and always be nice.

I play daily with friends I have made in this game app. Soooo fun! It’s truly my favorite!
Ads Galore
Can’t play for more than about 45 seconds without an ad that lasts for just as long. I understand about monetizing as much as the next guy, but it’s ridiculous.
No single player & sooo many ads
The option to join pickup games just doesn’t work. I tried 2 and 4-person. All the buttons are duds. I downloaded the app for that purpose
The solo mini games aren’t awful… but there are really long ads every couple moves. Way too much ad time!!

Greatest App!
I know this is a knock off version of CodeNames, but this is just the best app ever!!! I’ve met GREAT players on here and I play every. Single. Day. I hope this app sticks around for a VERY VERY VERY long time. Thank you so much to the developer!!

Doesn’t seem to work well
I was excited that everyone here says this is almost the same as playing code names. However, when I try to join a game. It doesn’t let me. The only thing the app lets me do is play the daily guesses. 😫
So many ways to play
I really like that there are lots of different ways to play. I do the Daily Guesser every day and find it’s fun to build a “friend” list to see how I do against other regulars. Some on my list are truly people I know but others are just people who I’ve found who do well consistently and I’ve added them to my friend list (they have no idea, I’m sure). Playing Quick Play involves using different strategies. It’s a chance to stretch more and use looser associations when clue setting. And Two Player games are a chance to also stretch a little, to see if you can complete a board in 3 or 4 turns. Still my favorite are the classic 2 against 2 games(4 player). Some people play their turn pretty quickly and others let days go by (which is unfortunate). All are so much fun!

Matching with Random Online Doesn’t Work
I tried both two player and four player random match. The buttons don’t work to match with a random person. You either have to make a private game or don’t play.
Used to be Great
I used to absolutely love this game! It’s so fun to play with friends and family. The new update, however, took away the feature to play with strangers! I used to be able to join a game as a setter or guesser and it would wait to put me in a game until it could find other players. It’s absolutely ridiculous that they took this part of the game away. It was so fun to play with others especially when my friends weren’t available. Please add this back. No clue why you would take it away!

Problem
I liked the game Codenames but this app won’t let me click on a word when it’s my turn. N sometimes it deletes all the words that a teammate clicked already…. To many issues.

Lightweight free version of the popular game with minimal ads.
Got me through the pandemic!
This is a fantastic app version of Codenames, which I love. You can play with strangers or with friends, or even make friends with other players! Unlike other phone games that feel like they melt my brain, this is actually challenging and stimulating. It’s been a great activity during the pandemic.
Also, the developer and his family members actually play the game and enjoy it, so that’s a great recommendation in itself. I met them through the app and they’re really nice! And fantastic players.

Nice game for smart people
Really like this game, first it was a bit of a struggle as English isn't my main language, but after few days i found some great partners to play this with and i enjoy my time in here ;)

Lacks functionality
For a game like this, I have no idea how the developers thought it was a good idea to not include a way to play online with random people and not just friends. That hurts their user base more than forcing people to find friends helps because many people like me will just delete the app as soon as they realize. And two, I was really hoping I’d be able to just use this app as sort of a board for Code Name, but I can’t do that either.
