Easy convenient and who doesn’t love saving money on gas you just pull up to the pump open your phone push pay and start pumping. and with the Viking gas prices, this is help tremendously..I Just saved 73 cents a gallon tonight.
Sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t
Tried to pay with Apple Pay which is an option. Transaction error. Tried to pay with the card on file. Transaction error. Not sure why Citgo doesn’t care that their app is terrible. Pretty ridiculous
Useless App
This app is so terrible that it’s unbelievable. It’s incredibly slow, even on wifi with great signal. Also tried adding my first card as a payment method in app and it wouldn’t take it no matter how much was in the account. Switched to the second card and… it took it! Problem is…now it won’t complete the actual payment because the app is convinced that I’ve reached the max amount of transactions for the day. Literally would not let me pay through the app whatsoever. Why is there a 3 transaction limit and why does it count when payment didn’t even go through?? Ridiculous. Thanks for zero discount and a waste of my time! 👍🏻

Payment doesn’t work
Started off OK, if not a bit buggy. But then Apple Pay option disappeared from the payment options, and I always get an error when I try to use the credit card that I stored in the app (even though the credit card works perfectly fine otherwise).
Alt ID did not work at station!
I really liked this app, until there were so many issues and changes, not reducing the gas price, or the bar not going up, after filling up 8 gallons, so please fix the app, and we will re-install it again, thanks!
Frustratingly terrible
Terrible app. Feels like a poorly made excuse to gather data from you. Plenty of errors to make getting gas a miserable experience. Instead of streamlining the experience to make you want to get gas from Citgo they add as many steps possible to waste time and effort. You gotta really want those few cents off the gallon. Most irksome part is if you don’t have notifications on, a pop comes up asking you to turn it on. If you say no the same pop appears right after it. This app makes you say no 3 times! Citgo Pay was genuinely a good app, a shame they shut it down for this mess.

Can’t even sign up to use
Just downloaded app
As I tried to sign up to use - 1st gave me an error sign
Then told me my last name was invalid
3rd try now my first name was invalid
And each time as I retyped info in and agreed to terms an error sign would come up
So I haven’t been able to create an account
Guess Sunoco and Exxon will get my business

Doesn’t work
Please fix this app. I can’t sign up on desktop. It says to download the app. I do and it doesn’t work.

Attempted to pay with app to get discount. Didn’t work despite multiple attempts. Went inside to ask teller who said club CITGO app doesn’t work at CITGO gas station. Horrible first experience, why create an app that doesn’t even allow customers to use it as CITGO gas stations. Complete waste of my time.

Try it multiple times. It will not work. Waste of time trying to get it to work at the pump. Not sure if the gas station is not allowing it or the app just sucks.
Never did get the 12cent in December discount
Even after contacting help and being instructed to follow the steps that I had done on my own and then repeated after repeated contacting them. The last contact asked for my phone info and iOS (which was the latest), they said to make sure to use version 7.13. However there is only version 7.12 in Apple app store. Sent info. with screen shots but have not received a response yet several days later. App did not work.

Unusable
I’ve been trying to use this app for 5 months. It sends the sms code for the mobile pay setup & never goes past the PIN setup. Idk who’s in charge of this app, but it doesn’t work at all. It didn’t work on iOS 18 and it still doesn’t work on iOS 26. Get your stuff together.

Mobile pay doesn’t even work. It keeps saying there are no stores available when I am sitting in the parking lot of a Citgo
Doesn’t work half the time
It’s great to save 30 cents per gallon for the first 60 days of linking the rewards credit card when the app actually works but the app doesn’t work half the time. It just spins and spins then times out. When it does work it is so painfully slow. Other gas apps work much better.
App Fail
Have tried to use this app for the last 6 months. It continually does not credit purchases for promotional programs. Have had to call 3 times already to complain. They company ends up manually crediting them but it is supposed to be automatic with the app. Deleting the app today!
Mobile Pay
Mobile pay no longer works on the app; therefore, not able to save the extra money per gallon. Hadn’t worked in a few weeks.
Can’t locate store
I’m at the store and it says I’m not. I can’t use it to fill up two cars same day same pump
