Note issues
There have been a few times while using this app i’ve noticed that it will only generate notes up until a certain point in the recording. It may be an issue that I have, but it’s happened a few times.

Actually saves my life when it comes to listening even when my teacher has a hard accent and makes my life easier to write notes. Free is (10 mins ) of listening per recording
costs money
It makes you think that'll you'll be able to use some features without the premium but you only get ten minutes of recording time until you have to pay. This is just ridiculous to me because you're marketing the app towards students. I'm already paying rent,food,gas,life AND college i'm just trying to find something that will help me take notes and study better but every single app nowadays is just a money grab including this one. No one actually wants to help students they just want the money it will make them.

Does not transcribe instantly. Almost all note takers don’t transcribe instantly. I canceled.

Export function not working on app
I’m finding the transcription and AI summary function useful. But on the Cockatoo app for iPhone/IOS, the export function does not seem to be working. So I need to log onto the Cockatoo website and export the file there. Hence, 4 star instead of 5 stars.
Minor quips: I could only sign up with my Apple account on the app, not the website. This led to some confusion when logging into the website, as I didn’t have a password and needed to use a work-around to create one. The pricing plans and offers did not align between website and app, which created more confusion.
Otherwise, this was a good product that I would recommend for transcribing.

Hello Ganima. Thank you for your feedback. We will fix both of these issues immediately in our next release. UPDATE: We have fixed the export bug as of this morning, and you can also now sign in with Apple on our website :)
Transcription do not show
In the preview I see some words, but when I open the document there is nothing but the audio.
It's a real time saver
I write articles for a local newspaper group and Cockatoo saves me so much time when it comes to interview quotes. Who needs shorthand when there’s Apps like this.

Fast speed and perfect transcription
I use this to transcribe my professors lectures to notes and find it to be the best tool out there for both speed and accuracy
Awful app don’t dowload
The translations don’t even work and it costs £20

Emma, sorry to hear about your experience. The app is free to use unless you need advanced usage. Cockatoo is also a transcription app designed to turn speech to text. If you are looking for a translation app we recommend Google Translate.
