Major Scam

Ordered from a coffee shop they had listed, and when I went to pick up my order the coffee shop informed me that they had never even heard of this app. Scam.

App still broken, still buggy

I tried the app 6 months ago and it was horribly buggy, and I unable to place any orders so I deleted the app without ever even getting the chance to place an order. I get an email saying that they want to try to welcome me back with a 14day free trial. So I try to enter the promo code, and you’re trying to charge me $8? Right, some free trial this is. Also, their list of cafes are outdated (some are actually closed and moved locations. But the app will still allow you to put an order and charge you! How is this allowable?). It was outdated 6 months ago, and remains outdated today. Very disappointing.

Great deal

Honestly it’s a cool app to discover new cafes all in one platform. It’s definitely a great deal too for coffee compared to Starbucks for example

App needs to indicate when shops are closed

I was able to pick up my coffee just fine when I went to pick it up. Only issue was that the cafe closed early several times before I was able to pick up my order so I paid on the app but wasn’t able to pick up the coffee which as you can imagine was frustrating.

Worth it!

Great app. I love to save money and this app helps me with that. Small bugs but that doesn’t really effect me.

Love this concept

Absolutely love this concept! Especially in NYC where sometimes one espresso drink can cost $8. The 3 drinks for the monthly $8 is more than worth it!

Great way to enjoy premier coffee on a budget

I heard of this app the other day and thought it was too good to be true! Turns out, it’s not and it was a great experience. My coffee order wasn’t ready but as soon as I showed my barista the app, he made my flat white perfectly and out the door I went.

Great concept, hoping for more

I love the concept of this app and it's super easy to use. It's also extremely affordable, but cafes don't always process orders through it. My barista just gave me coffee without completing the order on the app which is nice, but unsure if that's how it works. Overall hoping to keep using the app, but also hoping the cafes try to use it as well.

Great for Local Coffee Shops

I like that there is a convenient app for ordering coffee at the local coffee shops near me. It was a smooth process, got an alert when it was ready while I was on my way, and the barista was just putting it out for me as I arrived.

Not seamless but great cafes

The cafes never have any knowledge of your order and the baristas don’t get the tips if you tip on the app. But great if you like coffee and live near a cafe that’s on the app. 8/ month is a great deal

Progress!

Three free barista coffees a week for $8 a month is hard to ignore. Though there have been glitches I appreciate the developers feedback and commitment to making this app all it could be.

It’s improving/update

It’s such a good deal for 3 free coffees a week... saves me money. However yes there’s some hiccups but the app update has been improving and I’m looking forward to faster orders. Overall I can’t lie it’s a bang for my buck instead of paying $7 per each latte elsewhere

Bit of a disaster

Sometimes the app won’t open, sometimes the cafe doesn’t know it’s registered on the app, sometimes (always) the cafe doesn’t see the order until you tell them you ordered through here, sometimes the cafe doesn’t get modifications. The menus aren’t specific to the cafe either, there must be some weird preset list of drinks they offer to the cafes so the cafes can’t add their own interesting items to the menu. Second star granted only bc I’ve been able to redeem $8 worth of coffee so far.

This service is a scam!

I’ve used this app on 4 occasions and every single coffee shop I visited has never heard of Coffee’s Up. I even spoke to a head manager at one establishment who said she had no idea where the money I paid went, but if it was going to the cafe, it was news to her.

I love supporting local coffee shops, this app does not seem to be the way to do it. I’ve emailed customer service but gotten no response.

PS - they claim to be the first coffee subscription app, but I used to be a member of the CUPs app before they closed and they offered a similar service with zero glitches and fast customer service so don’t believe the advertising.

Give me my money back!

Everything sounded to be good to be true in the start. There were only one cafe at my area but anyway I decided to give it a try. So, after the registration the cafe where I hoped to use the service wasn’t listed on the map. I contacted the customer service and James made a promise that the cafe will be on the list soon. They even extended my trial period. Since then I never heard from them. They took one month payment for subscription. I never used the service. Very disappointed!!!
