Thoughtful app!
You match with someone, get to talk with them and call them. Each day you get 1 free token to call the person you’re interested in, however, extending the call may cost gems. But that’s okay because the free token makes up for that. I wish there were more filter options though. Overall, it’s a cool app that auto-translates your call so you don’t have to be afraid to speak to someone from another country! So far, I’ve made many new friends to learn Korean from!

Connectingを使い始めてから、ただ人と話すだけのアプリではなく、世界中の人とつながれる本当に素敵な場所だと感じています。最初は少し緊張していましたが、実際に使ってみると本当に優しい方ばかりで、毎回安心して会話を楽しむことができています。
特に嬉しかったのは、いろいろな国の人と自然に会話しながら、お互いの言語を学び合えるところです。相手の言葉を少しでも使ってみようと思ったり、自分の言葉を相手が頑張って使ってくれたりする瞬間がとても嬉しくて、会話そのものがすごく楽しくなりました。勉強というよりも、楽しく話しているうちに自然と単語や表現を覚えられるので、言語に興味がある人には本当にぴったりだと思います。
また、いろいろな国の文化や考え方を知ることができるので、使うたびに新しい発見があります。今まではあまり知らなかった国にも興味が湧くようになり、「いつか行ってみたいな」「もっとその国のことを知りたいな」と思うことが増えました。会話を通して世界が少しずつ広がっていく感覚があり、ただ楽しいだけでなく、知識も自然と増えていくところが本当に魅力的です。
さらに面白いのは、国が違っても共通点がたくさん見つかることです。好きな音楽、食べ物、学校生活、趣味など、話しているうちに「それ自分も好き！」という瞬間がたくさんあって、初対面でもすぐに打ち解けられます。無理に話題を作らなくても、自然に会話が続くので、毎回とても楽しい時間を過ごせています。
そして何より、このアプリの一番好きなところは、利用している人たちの優しさです。本当にみんな温かくて、丁寧に話してくれる方が多いです。分からない言葉があっても優しく教えてくれたり、こちらが話しやすいように気を遣ってくれたりして、安心して利用できます。正直、今まで使った他のアプリと比べても、Connectingは本当に民度が高いと感じました。変な不安を感じることが少なく、気持ちよく交流できるので、毎回開くのが楽しみになっています。

It has potential…
This app has great potential. I like that it does live translation during a call or even during text chats. But the problem is, this is a connecting app and you can’t do much connecting if you don’t buy a subscription.
What’s the point of connecting with people if it’s just a short conversation and then you can’t even talk to them again or chat if you don’t have enough gems or a subscription. It defeats the purpose of trying to make meaningful connection and meet people. Mind you there’s not a way to get enough gems outside of paying for them.
I have been avoiding calls due to the fact that I know, even if the call goes well, I won’t be able to talk to them again because I don’t have the gems or subscription to do so…
I want to connect with people but the high pricing makes it impossible for the less fortunate to do any of that. The most I can do is send a limited amount of hi’s to people each day, waiting for a match. And then wait for someone to actively text me in order to chat with them.

Misleading ads
Overall, I would say the app is pretty nice. I love that it’s filtered and it feels pretty safe when talking to people from around the world however, the Instagram ads that I see are extremely misleading and they are not accurate to what the actual app has they even try to say there’s a video call option but it’s only audio calling and it is pretty pricey to try to extend a call by a few minutes and you can really only use it once

at the very least, allow new users to use “premium” or “basic” (which, mind you, is still $10 a week) features for a bit to give a feel for if they even WANT to pay those prices.
i find it absurd that theyre even expecting people to pay anything more than $2 a week for this app. truthfully, this app is not worth the pricetag. i would understand if maybe you wanted to do $14 per month, but $14 per week is insane pricing for an app that has catfishers etc.
not to mention, $14 a week to see who talked to you? is that not dumb?
the app says theyre changing their prices soon. if they arent lowered down i will not be having this app wasting my precious storage space.

Needs to be free without needing to pay
Paying for a subscription just to text others just sucks honestly, I don’t wanna have to buy a subscription just to text anyone or see who texted me. Honestly this app could do better.

I wish there was a text only option. It could have little game you play like rock paper scissors, for when you don’t feel like talking but other than that. Great app for connecting the human race.

Pay to do anything?
I want to like this app, I really do. I love the idea that comes along with it and how the app runs…but how come you have to pay to do…ANYTHING? Seriously…what is the point in even letting users who don’t have premium (which is TERRIBLE pricing, by the way.) get access to send or receive hi’s? There is literally no point..? And it’s very rare you do come across someone who sent you a hi. This app is so extremely hungry, it’s frustrating. And reading the reviews, and the developers replied to the reviews, y’all don’t give two craps. You keep saying “we will forward it to our team!”, but does it matter if your team doesn’t do anything? And there are so many more complaints I could make, but other reviews have already made those complaints, and obviously they are being ignored. Do better.

New update is really bad and horrible, u cant find the people who liked you on greetings anymore, I thought this is a really good app because all others are really expensive and at least we could enjoy this one for a little free and make some friends. as you know we are mostly young and students that we can’t afford these prices,
