Quite Useful and Customizable CRM
I use it for my personal contacts (friends and family) to make sure I keep in touch. Very customizable tool. I like the new UI revamp. It could be able nice to preset notifications to remind to fill data after planned meetings or phone calls. Or even automatically triggered notifications after a phone call.

When I write in this app's notes, longer entries sometimes disappear suddenly. So, I’ve been typing my notes in my phone's default note app first, then copying and pasting them over to Note Journal. Other than this issue, I have no problem using it.

A very useful tool
I’ve been using this app for nearly four years now and it is continually being developed, I’ve started to request feed back from the developers on certain issues that may have occurred and they get straight on it! The one request I would like to see happen though, is to be able to see all of our appointments in todo’s/logs separated by the grey bars per day date, e.g all of Monday’s appointments, a grey bar, all of Tuesday’s appointment’s, a grey bar and so on! The developer has already fed back that this maybe a possibility in the near future! Great service.

An English professor once taught me that you can’t love an inanimate object. I get it, it’s improper English to say “I love Contact Journal”. Fine. Then I love the people who create contact journal. I have had a few different sales position over the years. Each time I used Contact Journal, and each time their unique set of features met different needs at different jobs. The template option was so great when I was running my entire business without a computer and just had the phone.
Adding new leads has gotten even easier. You can use the location where you are and it will put in the address. If you copy an address from the internet it will fill in the fields. You can also scan a business card. By the way I can’t find any of these features on Salesforce.
Now I am depending on the app for mapping. Way more user friendly for using the app than what sales force offers.

Finally a CRM I don’t have to have a monthly subscription to use. This app has what I need to keep track of my sphere and set my own reminders. Everything I need is built in with the ability to add a few extra fields if needed.

Relationships and Tasks managed in the palm of your hand
Update 06/2026 - I now have 16,000 contacts after uploading the data from my old CRM. It took a few hours to completely sync between the iPad and iPhone however has been working flawlessly for about couple of weeks. ( over the next 6 months that will most probably whittle back down to 4,000) Have been testing mini mail-outs for marketing with now apparent problems. Reminders work on the Apple Watch. The simplicity and flexibility fits perfectly with the way my mind works. The teams/sync functionality has so far been faultless. (My 7 year old i7 Mac Book Pro struggled with syncing however the iPad and Magic Keyboard have replaced it now) The syncing with iCloud has been smooth and prompt. Have started using it for project management by using the surname field for the project Name and linking to relevant contacts using tags. Contacts Journal strikes the balance between features and simplicity to manage customers and tasks. Taking the best of what Apple native databases offer and providing the tools to make managing relationships personal and functional. Well worth the annual subscription. With a bit of creativity with Tags/Titles/Groups it makes really easy work of managing projects as well. I print emails to files and attach to ToDos which even though taking an extra step is my opinion more reliable than trying to integrate a mail client.
