This is something that I needed
This extension really resolves almost everything that I complained about Youtube. Well done.

Finally! Found a replacement for untrap! All the functions are actually working and clearly indicated which function need to be login to be functional.
Essential App
Brilliant app that helps avoid the algorithm and make Youtube actually usable. Frequent updates too!
PLEASE add iCloud setting sync though! As more settjngs have been added, it's a pain to set it up on multiple devices every update.

Partly functional
Great app idea and setting options! However, it only works for the current session, so as soon as you refresh or open the website on a new tab, your current settings are ignored (especially the AI ones)! Fix that and you'll have a gem!
Does not work properly.
So there are options to set the number of videos in a row on the home page, the options don’t show correctly in the extension, so you have to guess the option to sho “5 videos per row” for example.
If you figure that out, then it breaks if you want to show shorts as well, so it goes back to showing 3 videos per row regardless of your settings.
For an app that you have to pay for, it is unreliable.

Worth every penny
The main reason that I decided to try this extension was to (1) force all YT videos into theater mode by default, and more importantly (2) stretch those videos to take up the entire viewport (the full window Safari window, but not full screen). Happy to say that this is the first extension I’ve found which does both perfectly. But then I stated exploring all of the other capabilities, and this is where I was truly amazed. Happy that I can now remove shorts from Home, remove music playlists from home, remove videos I’ve already watched (a certain % of) from home, and display full video titles (non-truncated) on home. Probably a lot more that I’ll find through continued experimentation.

Stopped working
Worked great until about 3 days ago. Youtube must have updated site to block this extension. Now, no option to sort by date at all. Waste of $$

Works just fine
Bought it here to support the dev instead of ko-fi like suggested in ko-fi description. I strongly recommend ! Request : being able again to scroll down to see the comments while in full screen on Firefox plz Mr Buchanan ty !
Background play doesn’t work
The 2 main features I need:
1 - remove shorts
2 - allow background play
I pay for YouTube to avoid ads, but shorts are toxic so I can’t use the YouTube app. Instead I use browsers. I’d prefer to stay in Safari (hence grabbing this tool) but sadly background playback doesn’t work, so for now I need to stick with Brave

Excellent, won’t use YouTube without it!
Love this plugin, really helps me not fall into the YouTube algorithm rabbit hole. Highly recommend!

Currently not working - iOS 26
Worked like a charm prior to more recent iOS 26 updates. Currently it only works by toggling the extension on/off manually every time on each separate window/instance of YouTube.

Je n’ai pas compris pourquoi l’extension n’avait qu’une évaluation et qu’elle soit à une étoile. Le fait qu’aucun commentaire n’ait été laissé n’aide pas. Peut-être s’attendait-t-il/elle a une application ? Ce n’est ici qu’une extension Safari, mais elle fait très bien le job. Il n’y a qu’une fonction qui déconne, c’est l’arrêt de la lecture automatique des vidéos. Tout le reste est nickel, et j’utilise Stop The Madness pour l’autoplay. Il manque encore des choses, il manque une certaine granularité dans le contrôle de la barre de gauche, mais sans ça l’application fait vraiment le boulot. UnTrap ralentissait énormément YouTube pour moi, ce n’est pas le cas de Control panel for YouTube. Pas déçu.

Great Extension!
It’s a great extension, but can you please add the option to not auto-translate the titles of videos? There are extensions like this for other browsers but not Safari. You already have the option to use the original audio, please add the option to use the original title. Thank you!
