Intercom is a mess
It has been years and they continue to ignore the intercom function. We installed two touch panels and a DoorStation to use this functionality and it’s terrible. Dreadful. Rarely works when needed. Delay to answer calls from iOS is ridiculous. DoorStation rings on iOS without any dependability. Ring is way better and way way cheaper. Been this way for years. They ask for feedback in the app so they seem to be aware of the issue. I have no confidence they will do anything to fix the issues.

Broken
App was “fine” when it worked. Not great but it did work. Latest update just opens to a black screen and crashes after 10-15 seconds. Unacceptable for a company of this size.

Completely unusable
This app has been broken for months and is still broken. As in, the app is a black screen and I literally cannot use it.
Clunky
This system is clunky and unreliable. The UI sucks, the way you add zones and play different sources is very unintuitive and its constantly crashing or not responding to the app.
Volume Control issue
Since updating the app the volume control doesn’t work, really frustrating as we’ve tried all the usual robooting fixes without success.
Barely Passable
Clumsy - especially for audio/listening - and fails to integrate regularly with streaming services such as Spotify, Qobuz and others. Regularly disconnects with BluSound, a popular audio system. Choosing which zone to play is unintuitive.
Mediocre and Unreliable
When the app works, it’s ok. The issue is frequent failed attempts to connect even on the same network. The UI is ok, but my family mostly grabs a remote first since they are much more reliable. Notifications work sometimes and not others, which is less than optimal as well.
Fix your app
You release an update and break the app, then do nothing about it for going on a week now? Is this a joke? Whoever is in charge of this buggy app should be replaced, find a new job man.
Update 3-11-26 app no longer connects. Update!
Did the update March 11 2026 and now the app no longer lets me connect. My sound system is no longer usable. It’s not my phone because there are three devices to control it and now none of them will connect.
They quickly released an update that fixed the issue. Works fine again !

I’ve had this for almost 4 years now - always worked fine. Yesterday, updated to newest version and says “problem connecting, try again later”.
Tried rebooting , uninstalling, unplugging actual control4 unit… nothing…
