Very glitchy
I wish I could say that this app is a perfect solution for an Australian abroad but it is not. The biggest issue is that nobody can call me!! Sometimes texts go through but who cares as I can use WhatsApp. The only reason I paid for this app (not cheap) was so I could be reached IN AN EMERGENCY. So when my father had a code blue emergency in the hospital and their calls never came through, this was a MAJOR FAIL.
I was lucky that he survived, but I didn’t know what crisis he was going through until I called the hospital after being unable to reach him to find out he had been taken to another hospital for live-saving care.
I never got a response to my tech support message either.
2 stars is generous but I was able to use it to call a land line even though I would be disconnected if anyone called my US mobile number while I was on the call. 🤦♀️

Takes ages for application to go through
I paid and submitted application on Thusday, it is now Saturday and still being processed. What on earth?
Useless
Cannot make landline nor cellular phone calls. Please check the number and try again. Oddly enough Skype and calling from my phone works as per normal. Thankfully I only wasted one month subscription. UNINSTALL.

Honestly not worth the money at all, app hardly works at all most times and calls don’t work at all. You are better off getting an e sim through telstra or another company. Really disappointed, wish i could get my money back.
Useless outside of wifi
Cannot make or receive calls if not connected to wifi. Will not connect using mobile data. This was not clear before I started using the app. Will be changing back to regular sim when I can

Although I have had some small issues, the owner of the company has followed up personally on every single request. I’m using this app across numerous countries while keeping an Australian mobile number and it’s been fantastic. Audio quality is A1.
Fix your app!
Why is the app not working now? Need to get this fixed!!! And now I’m locked out and can’t login! I’ve emailed and no response yet!

Got this app while applying for roles in Australia. Has been terrible calls not getting through and when they do cutting out constantly. Call logs not showing missed calls or recent calls. Have made many attempts to log support requests, with little response or improvement
Convenient app for Aussies abroad
As an expat living in the US, I’ve been looking for a way to maintain an Australian number to preserve access to my Aussie bank accounts, without the need to have an eSIM or physical sim. Cooey’s in app experience really simplifies things and they were quick to resolve a a payment issue I had.
