About

Counter turns a shared habit into something you can see. A group agrees on a theme - Sport, Reading, Chores - and lists the specific things worth counting inside it. Every time you actually do one, you open the app and tap once. Your number goes up. Everyone else in the group sees it move. That is the whole app. A PICTURE, NOT A LIST Your group is drawn as a graph: the theme in the middle, the things you count around it, and the people counting them further out. The number sits on the line between a person and the thing they did. You can see at a glance who has been running and who has not been near the pool since March. NO SCORES, NO RANKING, NO STREAKS There is no leaderboard and nothing to lose. Miss a week and nothing breaks, nothing turns red, nothing nags you. The only social pressure is the visible fact that someone else's number went up today and yours did not. That turns out to be enough. COUNTS ONLY GO UP A tap is a fact about something you did, so it cannot be edited away. Tap by mistake and there is a brief window to undo it - after that the number stands. Nobody can quietly tidy their history. INVITATION ONLY Counter is not open to sign-ups. Three existing members must each spend an invitation on the same person before that person can join, and everyone starts with three invitations that refill slowly. It grows at the speed of people actually vouching for each other. This is deliberate. It means everyone you count alongside arrived through someone you already trust, and it is why there is no blocking, no reporting queue and no feed full of strangers. EMOJI, NOT PHOTOGRAPHS Every theme, every activity and every person is an emoji you pick yourself. There are no photo uploads, so there is nothing to moderate and nothing of yours sitting on a server being scanned. WHAT WE KEEP Your name, your email address, your emoji and your counts. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared with advertisers, and there is no tracking of any kind. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, in two taps from the profile screen.
