Crew Rest - About Flying

About Flying is a focused utility for airline pilots, combining crew rest planning, aviation time calculations, and route-based sunrise and sunset estimates. Core calculations work offline, with no account required. CREW REST Create clear rest schedules for 3 or 4 pilots. Choose split-rest patterns including SSLL, LLSS, LSLS and SLSL, adjust the rest window and changeover gap. On iOS 26 or later, set alarms for individual rest periods so you can be alerted when your rest is ending. Share or import a Crew Rest plan using QR. TIME TOOLS Add and subtract time durations, calculate across midnight, convert between time zones and work out arrival times. Handle everyday UTC and flight-time calculations without unnecessary mental sums. SUNRISE & SUNSET See how daylight changes along your planned route or at a waypoint. Estimate dawn, sunrise, sunset and dusk, including altitude-adjusted events displayed on a timeline or map. BUILT FOR OFFLINE Core calculations run directly on your device and remain available without an internet connection. No account or sign-in required. FOR PLANNING AND REFERENCE About Flying supports planning and reference. It does not determine crew-rest legality or replace approved operational sources. Verify crew-rest arrangements and operational decisions against applicable company procedures, regulations, and approved dispatch, navigation and weather information.
