Help! Urgent!
Criptext used to be my favourite email app however a few weeks ago it stopped working correctly. I am no longer able to receive or send attachments including pdf, word documents, jpg any files at all. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling using the option to sync my previous emails from another device. Although the message came up that the sync was successful my inbox is empty! Tried then syncing to iCloud and repeatedly get a failed message “something went wrong” notification. I’m fuming as I’ve now lost all the emails on both of my devices!! Please help as I use this for my business. I have emailed support to no avail.

AMAZING BUT ALSO AMAZINGLY NOT MAINTAINED
For everyone on here having issues and unable to reach support or can not sign up, Criptext is no longer maintained and doesn’t accept new users. It stopped about 2 years ago I think it was. Sorry y’all. If you are ALREADY a user then it is nice to keep in the back of your head. I agree had SO MUCH POTENTIAL AND IS ALREADY (I think) PRETTY AMAZING considering in respect to the world as it is today.

Missing mail
As of June 2024, possibly a bit earlier, I haven’t received all mail sent to me in a timely manner. It arrives after a couple of weeks, if at all.
Tested it out with a friend and it was confirmed.

No new sign ups
Unable to sign up, dev hasn’t released an update in over a year, owner is more concerned with his teslas and bread than this service. It’s possibly dead, Jim.

Insists I’m already signed up
I have never opened this app. It asks me to log in to my crio text email, but I never set one up. It just keeps going to log in without ever letting me set up my account. Deleted it.
Won’t open!
I trusted this ap to do what it said it would do! It won’t even open! Extremely dissatisfied!
Can’t find sign up
I’ve been poring over the website and app startup screen for twenty minutes and cannot find ANY way to sign up. The ONLY option I’ve found is to log in, but obviously that doesn’t help if it’s impossible to create an account in the first place. If I’m somehow missing something or overlooking it, I hope the developers respond to this review, because I want to try the email service. So far, though, it’s been nothing short of infuriating.

Best Fourth amendment respecting email Client
Completely independent Fosse and open source private fourth amendment respecting main stream email client completely free and backed up to any cloud storage that she choose if you own personal and all emails I hosted locum unless you say I’m to your cloud so there’s no risk of data breaches.

I have to give a 0 rating. I just signed in after signing up and it tells me my pass word is wrong. So I go ahead and touch ‘reset’ pass word. I get a message I’ll get an email at Criptext secure mail. How am I going to get my message if you don’t recognize my pass word? I have another email but I didn’t give it. I gave my phone #. I admit I’m not techy but I followed the instructions.

I was considering switching from ProtonMail, but…
Look at Apple’s ‘Data Collection’ section for both apps and compare. Great effort, but knowing that - I will be sticking to ProtonMail. Keep it up!
Very Buggy
I’m receiving different messages on different devices. My desktop has some. My mobile has a few and my desktop has some. I’m waiting for days for emails for important crypto trades. So many problems with this app. The UX is also very lacking.
So Far its been great
It’s been as good as an email client that you can ask for in this day and age. I would love a paid option for extra features.

Criptext encrypted email is bar none the best company presently by far out amongst the free encrypted email accounts to do business with.

The Best - let’s hope they stay that way
This was the best private email app - but I recently got an email from their CEO saying they closed down registration because they’re being bullied by Law Enforcement agencies who are making up reasons why Criptext should compromise on privacy - making up things like non-existent threats coming from Criptext - which is pure baloney. If Criptext soccumbs to these Mafia-like bullying tactics, I will change this review to 1 star and tell everyone who I told about Criptext to delete it, because it will be as bad as proton mail !

Great email provider
I use Criptext as my primary email because I can’t get regular WiFi internet where I live so I rely on Criptext to allow me to receive and send secure emails.
