Dead app
Loved this app but recent update makes my app go black. Now I can’t use it. No matter how many times I close out it won’t open without a black screen.
Please fix this. I want to use the app and then I can change review to 5 stars cause I liked it a lot.

Ok- I found “food dose” .. it’s buried under history- not on front page like it used to be… also… when you type in a food - it’s all manual, there’s no search feature like in the old Ap- and even if I choose from common food list (eg egg YOLK).. I can only select one egg yolk.. hard to see how to make it multiple., except for manually guessing the IU dose,
Also uv lamps/beds are illegal in Australia… probs best not to promote that option…

Back to being completely awesome!!!
This app underwent some BIG changes over the last few months. It’s great again! Thanks so much for the work you guys are doing. This app has been incredibly helpful for me to get D naturally. I have a gene mutation that has made it impossible for me to supplement with pills to get vitamin D. I need to get D safely and this app is helping me to do that. 🙏🏼🩷

Just opens to a black blank screen. It used to work and was a great app so not sure what’s going on

7-9-26 UPDATE: Still a BLACK SCREEN upon opening app.
• I’ve done the updates, just updated iPhones IOS, each to no avail.
• it might be helpful to say that *when I just put the app in the background and go back to the main phone screen, THEN go back to the background apps, I can SEE the Apps main page, as it should look, if it were to open properly.
• I hope this will help, thank you for working so diligently to correct the issue.

What Happened!?
Used to be the best app I have ever owned and now I haven’t been able to use this app for weeks. It gets stuck on a black screen and never loads. I’m on an iPhone 14 Pro Max and my OS is 17.7.2
Timely update
Great to see the update! Many things look better and function faster and better. One feedback, the app icon in the Home Screen with the stark black background is unappealing. The sun is fine, can you change it to a white background or gives us an option to choose white? I think it also makes more sense this way and it’ll look more fresher and daylighty with an app dedicated to the sun.

Don’t update!
I updated the app and it no longer works anymore. It is just a black screen when I open the app. I’m so sad to lose access to this app that I’ve used every day for the last few years.

I have loved using this app, but lately when I open it I get a black screen and it never opens.
6 july 2026. Has been slowly working over many update. Levels do not feel accurate as prev version.
6 july 2026 3.5 stars working good enough. still clunky to enter same food over multiple days. Tedious. And UI levels are not accurate. Never goes in to green no matter how much D I get in a day. Does not work as well as old version yet. * I am hopeful. *
And sun levels just feel too low for high season. Been a slow patient summer of tracking. I did not need participation badges. I need a solid app to enter data accurately and quickly. Thanks. Of you want oeople to donate. Pls put jt oit there. It IS a lot of work.

20 may2026. Again. Wish i didnt update. It went backwards again and stopped working. Lost all data and loads sun screen and that is all. Jams. Nothing works. Used this app everyday in the past. At a loss.
11 may 26. Was working with bugs. Not working after last update. Hanging at initial “checking for existing data” screen.
Updated today again. Updated OS. No bueno. Still not working. Im going to stop upgrading if i get it working again.
26 apr ‘26 app is now removing manual past entries in a day foods like eggs and lamp sessions. I log separately and have always done so. It doing it deleting them repeatedly. (We could have just been UX/UI testers.)
23 april ‘26. Kept trying. Finally loaded and opened. Still super buggy. Wish I would have waited Removed my VPN. Did tricks they asked like turn off location services. Went back to app store for many dozens of times and downloaded PRO version which I bought a ling time ago—app store did not default to it. Skipped adding data and finally got it loaded and semi working. They are still working out a lot of bugs. Wish that would have just been clear and upfront. Would have just waited and used old version. Loved the old style version.
So data sorta loaded. Lost majority of detail as to sun/food/lamp descriptions. Also lost ability to add those things across multiple days. It is in its clunky stage. People who worry about app aesthetics are a pain. It functioned way better before without the graphical overhead. Btw. The competitor apps suck. And are overpriced. I will be patient. Im sure these peeps will figure out the bugs. Just wish they would communicate clearly and directly. People cam be reasonable if they understand.
Also cannot sync to icloud even tho there are backups there. Icloud can be sketchy tho.

14 april 2026 Developers seem to think it is ONLY the location and heath kit that remain a problem that you can workaround.
I cannot use the app AT ALL. Tried. All the workarounds, loads, deleting etc. They are not hearing that.
Data loads. App freezes after initial location request no matter how you do it. Would be helpful to skip that. But, 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ done. Will look up copycat apps.

Update 31 march 2026: added food data since beginning of year yesterday. Updated app today. Stopped working. Black screen is all I see. Rebooted. Odd.

Spouse’s also stopped working a while ago in same way. I am 13 plus pro and the other is a 12.
Have had this app for a long time and it continues to work. I like that it isnt an overhyped, over designed sell out.
One small suggestion…change the resume button to Green instead of orange. Green means go. Orange usually means slow… frequently hit the wrong button based on its color.
Pro tip. If the app is so useful, throw the developer a bone and buy the app and stop whining about the ads.
(my numbers were the best ever recently!)

Disappointed
Relied on App especially during Summer here in Australia and it just stopped working (black screen) tried to reload etc nothing. Thought I upload to Pro but having read all the latest reviews I’m in limbo. Disappointing as it was a daily go to.

@Jwine18 -- You are 100% correct. This WAS a fantastic app. I've had Vitamin D deficiency for decades, and it was one of the few tools I have found that helped me get my D levels back on track, but this new update is absolutely TERRIBLE. All user control is gone. Constantly inaccurate data for my location. So irritating!!! I had recommended this app to all my doctors for their patients, and now I'm advising them to disregard everything I ever said. This app is AWFUL. Steer clear!

Used to be an amazing app but sadly no longer works
For about the last year this app hasn’t worked which is a real shame. It used to be great and I wish the develops could fix it. I’ve just installed the latest update which supposedly fixes the black screen and I also have the most up-to-date iOS but it is still not working at all.

I find it mind boggling this app score went from 3.7 to 3.8 in the last two months when every person is scoring low and rightfully so. They must be cooking the review score but honestly this is the worst downfall of a once successful app I’ve ever seen in my life. I’ve never been so frustrated with an app I once loved. Hope it bombs at this point.
Use to be a huge fan. But this is awful. I see some reviews praising how often they update problem fixes but you all have to remember there’s a developer mode. They didn’t have to release this updated app to see how bad it really was. But they did. The app worked well already. Now it’s absolute trash. It’s mind boggling really.

Was Great, Now it Sucks
Used this app for 2 years and it was 5+ stars for ease of use, accuracy, and informative. But now there are too many bugs to even be able to use it & it is completely inaccurate and ineffective. Very frustrating. Skip this app and look for a different circadian app.
Fixed – Black screen
Deleted, then re-downloaded and it seems to be working, but I haven’t used it yet. Hopefully it will work properly when I use it this afternoon.
