Some 5-year-old kid wrote this app. Their web portal is horrible also. Hire real developers, not your nephew. My new place came with Daikin, so I’m stuck with the thermostat for now. But they’re apps are almost unusable. So I’ll continue doing it the old fashioned way. Because Daikin stinks at tech.

Poor design.
The APP does not support the need of thermostat replacement. When a thermostat fails and is replaced, you are forced to carry the old unit as if it was still working.
Clunky- terrible user interface
Though it works it takes forever to turn on/off air set thermostat. Interface designed by hacks.
Embarrassed? That’s how Daikin should feel
To say that this is the worst app I own would be to give it too much credit. Opening the app locks up my iPhone. Reboot time. On top of that, there is no way to create an account or do anything else with the app. Total piece of crap. And to think I spent a grand for three of these...

No support for IOS 11.3
I can't upgrade my iPhone. This is the only app I have that is not supported on IOS11.3.

Finally updated app after 4 years but....
Finally updated app after 4 years but now it doesn't work at all. I log out and back in and it just says system offline?!?!
Doesn't work with ios11
The app hasn't been updated in years and won't run at all under iOS 11. Given that the product has been unsupported, Daikin would better serve its customers by allowing 3rd party controllers and open standards.

Horrible
This is one of the worst apps I have ever interacted with. Horrible design, UX, filled with bugs and an overall embarrassment. I have requested the company fix and update this to no avail. I wish I had a different a/C system.

So is this an abandoned app or just neglected? I wish we didn't choose Daikin for our network closet thermostats 2 years ago. This app is absolutely useless. I expected much better considering the relationship with Ecobee. Can't wait to find a replacement.
Terrible app
Only allows you to adjust the temperature on a temporary basis. Really outdated. For a $300 thermostat, it's terrible, and the app to control it is worse.
Although I cannot say their equipment is much better either. My unit was under warranty and completely burnt up. They refused to replace any of the parts let alone cover labor. Lucky my condo didn't burn down.

Confusing
It is ironic that a company that makes hardware as excellent as Daikin, has an app designed this poorly. Every time I open the app I am warned by Apple that "use of this app may slow down your phone." Desperately needs an update.

I hope you are reading this prior to actually buying daikin equipment. Their HVAC units are great but this is how I intended to interact with the system. This is a crappy clunky program, it has so many bugs, forces you into a horizontal orientation, has tons of issues that cause you to close the app all the way, I could go on but you should try it and see how bad it is for yourself. Wish I could have my money back.

Clunky Bug-ridden App
This app complements the Daikin Envi thermostat. As part of the total system, users need to input their location so that the system can consider the local weather to optimize the program automatically. Great! However, the app and accompanying web portal won't list the correct weather for my location. I live in a major metropolitan city. As I write this it's currently warm and sunny, yet the app says my current weather is raining and 30 degrees colder. I've tried entering multiple VALID USPS addresses and adjacent ZIP codes to see if for some reason only my house was not found. No luck. I'm not getting what I paid for and what was advertised. I'll be seeking a refund on my entire system if this isn't fixed.
