Can’t get it to open

Was working fine on my iPad. Now won’t open. Every other App,no problems. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling,nothing . A waste of my money .

Reading an article? It will jump to the page before before you can!

It’s been reported in another review (and the echo denies it happens) but when you try to read an article, it jumps back to the page before WITHOUT YOU EVEN TOUCHING THE SCREEN.

very poor app and service. Not worth the subscription until it’s fixed.

Thank you for your feedback. We are aware of the issue in question which is affecting a small number of users and have an update ready to release for the app which will resolve this. This is currently in QA and will be released shortly. In the meantime, if you can please try restarting your device and uninstalling then reinstalling the app, this may resolve the issue. Subscription Not Working

I paid for a subscription to get good access, advert free news and items for The Saints.

Now I can’t sign in or change my password. I can’t find a helpline as the stuff online is generic.

I feel as if I’ve wasted my money at moment and I’m no very happy about it.

We are very sorry to hear that you have experienced these problems accessing your subscription within the app. If you purchased your subscription via our website, you can change your password at https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/my/account/ using the 'I forgot my password' link. If you purchased within the app itself, you will not need to login and should be able to relink your subscription by tapping the 'Restore an app-only subscription' button on the My Account screen (accessed by tapping the Settings cog in the top right of the app). If you are still experiencing difficulties after trying this, please contact our customer support team at nq-digital.subs@newsquest.co.uk and they will help resolve this for you.

Opening the DE app ghastly music comes on

Whether this is a new trend from daily Echo or not, the poor out of tune, singing of a children’s choir is pretty poor and not asked for

Thanks for your feedback. We don't have any music in the app or anything that would trigger music when the app opens. The only thing I can think of is if you were viewing a video in the app previously and the app opened back up on the article you were viewing and the video started to play automatically that may explain it. I would recommend closing the app fully and then reopening and hopefully this will remedy the issue. But if it does not, please feel free to contact us at nq-digital.subs@newsquest.co.uk and we will investigate further.

So far, so good but...

….when you begin to read a story, half way through it will zip back to the main menu without you swiping to do that. Annoying.

It’s ok, but no comments option.

I’ve just taken out a subs with the Echo and thought I’d try the app after getting used to the website. The app is generally fine but there is no option to leave comments on articles as there is on the website. If it’s a bug then maybe it can be fixed, but if the option has been omitted for some reason can it be added please?

Rubbish

Can’t open the app it just gives me a photo of ocean village and that’s it!
Can’t log in on the website because it keeps telling me my password and email don’t match even when I’ve reset my password 😡

Unable to log in

On opening the app on my iPhone X I am presented with a log in page. I have already set up my password on their web site. Unfortunately the keyboard for entering the info doesn’t have any letters on it. It also obliterates the fields that I’m trying to fill. I’ve also tried copying my details to the clipboard to paste in, but the app won’t allow pasting. So: completely useless.
