No issues for me
I was skeptical of the app given its lack of and very poor reviews. But the Danalock was recommended for and installed on the door I bought so I did not have much choice. Honestly, the setup was pretty flawless. I registered, the app picked up the lock and keypad instantly, I paired them to each other, I created a pin, it works just fine. I had no issues.

Horrible!
It is constantly “glitching”. You have to enter the code on the pinpad 2-3 times so the door will unlock. It is only a year old and so many issues. Changed the battery and then reset it. The support is overseas. The place that sold it does not provide any assistance. Like another reviewer mentioned…locked my kids out! I am going to have it removed.

Feature removal = constant recalibration
The twist assist feature which was fantastically useful was removed and now since then, we have to re-calibrate the lock every few weeks as it stops locking via the app or Alexa correctly; if you don’t check, you can go out leaving the house unlocked.

Customer service?
So I’m not the first here to mention this so Danalock take heed! Yes we are talking about twist assist. I asked Customer service where this feature had gone and apparently their customer feedback told them that it wasn’t needed. When I replied to this, suggesting the comments here said otherwise they simply ignored me.
The product scrapes by as acceptable; if it wasn’t so expensive it would be in the bin. I don’t think it’s value for money.
The application is not user friendly. I can’t decide if the app is bad or it’s the product being substandard.
Customer service: zero. You are a terrible company and when I eventually replace the product I’ll steer very clear of you.
I suggest others do the same.

Was great - then they removed Twist Assist
This lock no longer works properly since the removal of Twist Assist: if you open the lock manually, it doesn’t lock automatically later, even if you have it set-up to. You either have to unlock using the app or via Alexa if you want it to automatically lock again afterwards. Strongly considering other alternatives now. Shame as this was ideal previously. Would no longer recommend.
