Gone back to classic version

After being prompted to update I gave it ago. After struggling for a week and having to constantly use our emergency key I’ve given up and gone back to the classic version. Set up is good but constantly fails to connect to the lock. It’s a shame maybe some firmware needs updating?

Bad overall design

I’m new to Danalock and coming from an August lock. The overall user interface and usability of the app is so bad. The hardware locks are beautifully designed, but this software needs a facelift in every way.

Auto lock with Shortcuts.

Download this App after auto lock being temperamental on the original App. By using the Apple Shortcuts and setting up an automation from guidance on Danalock web page this now works every time on Auto Unlock and so far seems solid. Vast improvement over using the App Auto Unlock feature. I do use this over a bridge so more reliably. They have tried to fix an important feature and they seem to have done it.

Locked out - almost always

We are constantly having to calibrate and pair this system. Too many times my kids are locked out - not reliable at all. Our system was installed June 2924!Praying for an app fix

Constant lost of signal

We have to do the paring over and over again

Disappointing

I could never pair lock with pad and kept getting error messages. It has been over a month and the support email came once with very generic instructions and they never responded to my following questions. We paid $800 for a faulty device that no one is backing up

Absolutely awful cannot open my door!

Awful app, cannot open my door anymore. Takes a minimum of 5 minutes to even acknowledge I’m outside the building so I can unlock the door.

Do not recommend.

Won’t show as locked

I’ve tried running the calibration many times but when I lock the door through the app, it locks but shows as unlocked. The only way to show it as locked is to manually lock it. So now when I’m out of the house it shows as my door is unlocked, not ideal for my piece of mind.

Bring back the widget

Seems to work well but doesn’t have the widget functionality of the old app, which made it really easy to unlock with a single swipe from your Lock Screen.

Twist assist

I join the other dissatisfied customers who are very unhappy about the removal of this function which I had used every day. Before the update of the software I was even unable to lock the door without a key for some reason which was hardly the reason I bought the lock. It is a real shame that a good lock should be spoilt by inadequate software.

Twist Assist Feature Still Broken

Extremely disappointed with the latest Danalock app, which unexpectedly removed the Twist Assist feature - a critical and heavily relied upon feature we used daily on our lock. This feature was key to making the lock exceptionally user-friendly, especially for children. The lack of Twist Assist severely diminishes the lock's usability, and we’re now looking for another brand of smart lock with this essential feature. I hope this feedback reaches the developers and that they reconsider the decision to remove such a critical feature, restoring the Danalock to its former, highly functional state.

Sticking with Danalock Classic app

I have the Danalock Classic app. Saw the new one and tried it. You can’t manage users from the new app, but you can from the old app. This app works, just reduced functionality.

I wish I could give 0..

The lock and the app are 3rd world quality. The support is no help. The app shows the lock is stuck in a locked position even though it’s unlocked. and cannot lock.

Twist Assist removal - Mistake

Echoing other comments, the removal of this capability is a huge mistake. I have not upgraded my firmware as a result, which concerns me. I am also having calibration issues, constantly reporting jammed in HomeKit, which would probably be fixed with new calibration methods in the new firmware.
Now considering alternative locks.

ZERO STARS

I WANT TO GIVE THIS ZERO STARS, BUT IT WONT ALLOW IT
This is the worst app ever. Auto Unlock doesn’t work. In fact, it doesn’t even allow me to lock or unlock my door at all, and as for getting rid of twist assist, don’t even get me started
As soon as humanly possible, I will be getting rid of this lock, and will tell anybody and everybody to NEVER purchase a Danalock.

Don’t invest in a Danalock, invest in a Nuki

I once praised the Danalock for its functionality but unfortunately this brand has now ended in my book and the new chapter with Nuki has started. Unfortunately they made the most ludicrous decision to remove twist assist which basically means needing your phone to unlock while inside!

Twist Assist

The decision to remove twist assist feature will kill this lock off.

Twist assist removal

Like others who have commented the twist assist feature is one I use, oh EVERY TIME I OPEN MY DOOR FROM INSIDE MY HOME.
Why on earth would you disable this?
Please do not say it’s easier to twist my lock more than 2 full revolutions to open it now.
Very poor customer service and a good reason to ditch this lock that now provides 50% of the functionality that I originally purchased it for.

It’s clear from all the unhappy customers that it wasn’t a good idea to remove this functionality. Please add back in as a lot of us bought the device for this feature and it now no longer exists. I am wondering whether there is a trades description act issue here!!!
