I literally fight this app every day

I have a technical background, I’m highly educated, I’m old enough to know what I’m doing. I don’t have time to deal with this app. It is incredibly over engineered, very difficult to use, not intuitive. For example, every time I want to use my credit cards I have to login with my Dashlane master password, but I also want to have a master password that is complex and not memorizable this is not to be easy to type in. So I generally can never use Dashlane stored credit cards. Dashlane needs to become useful for security, but not so difficult that it’s impossible to take advantage of its security features.

How to use

I can’t figure out how to use it. Dashlane wants, “Enter the 6-digit token from your Authenticator app. “ I open the app and all I see is something about MFA

Can’t see code

I can’t see my code when I open the app. In order to use the app I need to copy an invisible code. Paste it somewhere so I can then see the code it generated. Very annoying glitch.

Love Dashlane, but the Authenticator needs work.

I came from google authenticator. It’s simple to use and reliable but does not support Apple Watch. So I’m trying Dashlane’s since my whole family uses Dashlane. I’ve set it up multiple times on my phone but it would only show up once in awhile on my watch. Sometimes for one account, sometimes for another account, sometimes not at all. As a security app these things must work well all the time.

Disappearing 2fa tokens!!!!

I have had two different 2fa tokens completely disappear from this app! Only use if you want to get locked out of accounts.

This app stinks

I am trying to log in on a computer and it thinks my 2FA is a recovery code. Then it says the code isn’t right. It doesn’t work AT ALL.

Dashlane authentication codes missing

Dashlane authentication codes keep disappearing from the app. The other codes for other accounts are there so it seems to be a Dashlane problem….

Everything disappeared

This authenticator had been working perfectly but yesterday it lost everything. I had to spend a couple hours using recovery codes to reaccess my accounts. (It doesn’t help that the Dashlane app froze every time I tried to input a recovery code.) This seems to be a problem tied to the most recent update, but 2FA is rather useless if it’s this buggy and locks me out of being able to use my password manager.

Doesn’t store the tokens

I have added multiple account including the Dashlane twice and the Authenticator keeps deleting them. It’s very frustrating to pay for a service that doesn’t work.

Yet another Authenticator app to confuse the masses

The world has plenty of Authenticator apps already, thank you very much. Also, it seems that Dashlane on the phone now just will not let you login without it. Epic fail.

People paying for a service like this should have telephone support

I’ve already set this up and set up multiple accounts to use the Authenticator. Then a couple weeks later, randomly, for no reason the authenticator lost all of its information, and I was locked out of all my accounts, and had to go through a bunch of extra steps to gain access back to them.
