UI Issues

UI issues. Incredibly frustrating experience trying to log in. Once logged in, in-app browser just shows the same broken page I’d get using safari, but a little worse. I cannot use or recommend this app as a result.

App is helpful but links don’t open to the right page so becomes worse than the web

I am going to remove the “open links in app” hooks because every time I click a datadog link to examine a monitor or a shared dashboard, it opens the app but just leaves me on whatever was the last app screen I was looking at. This breaks me from being able to use datadog on my phone. If I can’t remove that hook, it’s going to be an uninstall. You have to fix this.

No watchdog support

The app does not support the most useful feature showing watchdog alerts

Great app

Love having all the data in my pocket

Useful app

Gets the job done. Not aware of viable competition offering an app for their product.

Poor experience on mobile

We use datadog and this app is a very poor experience. Authentication is very difficult and the app does not stay logged in. We use SSO through an external provider and the authentication flow is very bad on this app. Access to resources is limited, I will generally prefer to just use a mobile browser with all the limitations there vs the app.

Really really bad

Aside from the UI being horrible
Things are just not available at all in the app and the website is equally impossible to browse on mobile.

The alarm is giving me a heart attack

The alarm is too loud. Please add a volume control.

Garbage app

Whenever I open an actively firing monitor, it shows a blank chart and gives me no useful information on what is firing. The web app is excellent. I expect better from such a big company.

App and mobile site are basically unusable

Can't perform searches. Just make your mobile site responsive. I'm on call and CANNOT use this app.

Overall terrible

Buggy, slow, and difficult to navigate. It's usually easier to go find a computer than to use the dd app

Handy

Would be great to see RUM Session Replay accessible from the mobile app

Sad

I’m a dev for a large public company that has been getting more and more teams on the datadog platform. Their desktop browser products like APM are truly fantastic. However, in 2025, on-call devs MUST have access to a useful mobile app that has all of the same functionality as desktop. Unfortunately, datadog’s app is hot garbage and needs to be completely redesigned. To make it worse, the website is completely broken in mobile Safari and not responsive at all. I’m going to look for a logging and monitoring platform that has a better mobile site (or app) and pitch it to my team.

Love the product, hate the app

I really love datadog and what it enables us to do, but as someone who uses datadog mostly for APM, this app lacks a lot. I wish there could be a way to see traces on mobile.

Crashes after update /won’t launch

App doesn’t open after the latest update. I tried deleting the local data too. Might want to actually QA your stuff, and not just “happy path” testing…

Buggy, impossible to triage an incident on mobile app

Mobile is clearly an afterthought at Datadog. Extremely frustrating that basic functionality doesn’t work. You cannot search logs with any filters unless they were saved from desktop. Dashboards are buggy and fully reload the whole app every 30 seconds. The list goes on.

For how expensive Datadog is, this is truly unacceptable. Please invest in making this app actually work. It’s important to be able to triage on mobile and its current form is completely unusable.

Hi, we're really sorry the app didn’t suits your needs. We now support logs with free-text facet parsing to make it easier to search through logs. Could you please send us an email at mobile@datadoghq.com if you continue to face challenges or have any request? Thank you

Pointless out of the box

DD is basically just an overpriced ripoff of a collection of already established open source tools and this app is just a worthless wrapper around that.

The app itself doesn't do much other than display. I mean you really can't do much out of the box. Can't see dashboards unless you own them, searching is so restrictive that you're just wasting your time even looking at it. Basically it requires massive setup and spending days getting everything setup for yourself on the desktop version first.

Then just ask yourself, why am I just not using the mobile site via a browser? So then what exactly is this app for? I mean at least they can claim they have an app, but I find it pretty much worthless unless you sunken so much time to setup everything up for yourself using the desktop client that you might as well just save yourself the hassle and just do that meaning this thing is pointless. I guess the have to spend all that money they make ripping off and reselling open source tooling somehow. Give more back to those you are ripping off.

Saves me taking out my laptop

It’s so nice to be able to see my monitors and dashboards from my phone, so I can triage without opening my laptop. Saves me a bunch of time and I can triage faster this way.

Widgets don’t work

Just get an empty gray box with an error when trying to add a dashboard chart to my Home Screen

Stable So Far

Idk why is this app has a low star, it's pretty stable on me
