Exactly what I was looking for

I used a One-Line-A day journal (hard copy) for 10+ years, but it has gotten hard to keep up with little kids a home and full time work. I have been trying to find a digital journal that is simple, yet elegant. Allows photos and an easy calendar view. This doesn’t have too many “bells and whistles” that complicate the visuals. I just want a way to record important moments and look back over time. This has all the features I am looking for! Looking forward to upcoming updates with live sync to iPhone.

You'll be happy to know 2.2 just landed with Home Screen widgets and one-tap sticker stamps from the Apple Watch, so recording a moment takes even less time on busy days with little ones. Thank you so much for the kind words! A lot has shipped since you wrote this — the app is now called Dayleaf, with iCloud backup, Sign in with Apple, goals on the calendar, and it speaks 9 languages. I also noticed the "slow loading" note in your nickname: the app got a big performance pass in recent updates, and if anything still feels slow I'd truly love to hear about it — there's now a Feedback board in Settings where I read and reply personally.
