so I have a few of these meters that I use for my Crow language research very useful once again especially for the free version this tops all of the other free audio analyzer that I've tried even ones that I've paid for

A course of crickets intrigued our dinner party guests and we were able to use acoustic math and a the decibel level ~40dB provided by Decibel X to estimate their distance, 500-1000 feet away, about the distance of the nearby trees. Mystery solved. Five stars.

Amazing
Helps in many different situations to alert you to decibel’s; that could be dangerous to your ears and gives duration in each zone. Only use free version but still very functional. And can also work while phone is close as long as app is on, in the background.
DB meter
This is a great little app if you, like me, love listening to music. When an artist produces an album, it usually mixed at between 70-80db. I can now find the sweet spot to truly appreciate the music.
