What's New in Decked Builder Remastered

2.1.1

October 26, 2026

What's new in 2.1.1 FIXED - Fixed a crash that could happen when opening some cards and decks. - Back from a card's page returns to the deck or collection list you came from. - Copies recorded in a finish their printing doesn't have keep that finish, marked for review, until you fix them from the card's page, in decks and collections. - With Show Digital-Only Cards off, the Printings list no longer shows printings that exist only in MTGO or MTG Arena. Digital printings you own still show, marked Digital only. - A deck or collection you move to Recently Deleted closes, and the app no longer reopens it at launch. - Image exports wait for card images, and say how many couldn't be downloaded before exporting. - Text and file exports keep the lines the card database does not know. - The loading bar appears as soon as the app begins processing startup data. - VoiceOver announces the current sort on every menu that holds it. - Copies on a printing that has no nonfoil, such as etched copies from Decked Builder Classic, show under that printing's own finish. - The Quick Look preview and the Finder thumbnail of a collection file show its cards. - The price "Updated" date no longer shows the day before in the Americas. - A Creature Saga's last line no longer overlaps the text below it at large text sizes. NEW - A redesigned deck header: your deck's format, commanders and card count under its name, and its art, ownership, average mana value and price on two steady rows. - On iPhone, a deck's Analysis, Buy, Card Cam and Add Cards sit together in one row. - Settings is organized into General, Views, Data and About, with a search field. - The Maybeboard has its own list in the deck editor. - Choose Printing asks before it changes more than one copy. - The deck's price names its price source. Tap it to change the source or to open your buy list. - Browse Versions shows how many copies of each printing you own. - Copies shown as "Recorded, not counted" can now be counted or removed, each as one step you can undo. - Content-warning cards in your decks and collections are listed and covered instead of hidden, and they are never priced. - Zones that don't fit on screen scroll sideways, or show as a menu from the deck's Sort and view options. - Undo and Redo return you to the zone where the change was made. - VoiceOver reads a card's set name right after its name in deck and collection lists. - Card data updates show each step, one progress bar, and the download's size and time remaining.

Amazing - able to give direct feedback to developer

I am happy user of the app for several years, it holds my entire database of cards I keep my collection in the cloud and I can go to any LGS and check to see whether I already have a card or not. Whenever there is an issue I can give direct feedback on discord and the developer answers my questions directly. A+

Purely hot garbage

This app used to be great. Dennis gill took it over and has systematically turned it in to the most useless piece of garbage.

First he ruined the search functionality, turning a process that took 1-2 clicks plus filling in the search bar into a process that takes navigating multiple unintuitive menus and then waiting 30sec-1min for it to figure out how to pull its head out of its jockeys. Once it has finally figured out where its trousers are it spits out results that often times prioritize the art cards with no oracle text before you have to go through more navigation menus to find the actual cards with text.

Next he locked the features which LONG TIME PAYING CUSTOMER used behind a subscription paywall. I kept it for a year or two after all this, just restricting myself from using the paywall features and regularly checking for updates, because even garbage as it is; an offline card search could still be somewhat useful before I realized it was eating up over 50GB of storage on my phone.

Deleted and good riddance. Don’t support this greedy buffoon who’s trying to capitalize on someone else’s hard work and reputation.

Long time user very dissapointed by the recent update.

Navigation is now much less effecient. App runs slower in general and also now has frequent crashes. I really hope the dev's revert to the previous version, otherwise I unfortunately cannot reccomend the app.

Response from developer

Hi n.j.davis, We’re sorry that you’re experiencing issues with the app. We continue to take feedback through here and through our Discord to help shape the app as it moves forward, and we hope that upcoming fixes and continued improvements will help make your experience better again. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to hear from you again once your concerns are addressed. - “Junior Dev” Dennis

I’m done

This was may favorite app for over a decade iv bought it for myself at least twice and even for a few friends it was nothing to fancy easy to use with a robust search engine.

Now the app is harder to navigate the deck building feels worse and the search is harder to use less functional and displays cards in the worst way as of the new update a week ago.

Iv gone through many changes of this app but this one makes it unrecognizable to me and I don’t I can stick around after this one.

The App Now Opens up with an Ad

The newest update completely changes the UI and is no longer recognizable as Decked Builder. The app now opens up with an ad before the loading screen. Change is inevitable but these updates continue to disappoint.

Response from developer

Hi, We’re sorry you take issue with the new app. We’ve been documenting openly the reasons behind why the app is in its current state on the app’s new Discord, including the decision to change to the subscription model to support future development. Please join the discussion there to help contribute to future improvements. Follow up: it’s not an ad, it’s the first part of the loading screen that identifies my brand that is managing this and other endeavors in the gaming space. I apologize for the confusion. - Dennis
