Good so far but confusing?

I’m enjoying the concept, the risk/reward aspect is very cool. I’m confused about the weapons though; the “How to play” says that weapons can be used on an enemy of equal or lower value. However, there have been times where I’ve got - for example - a 9 weapon equipped and still take damage fighting a 4 value enemy. Do weapons only last for one attack or something? Not sure. Will have to play around with it some more.

Response from developer

Thanks so much for writing this. You can't imagine how great it feels to hear you’re enjoying the game! I’ll double-check to see if what you experienced was a bug. About the weapons: when you equip a 9 weapon, you can safely fight enemies like 8, 7, 6, and so on. But the rule is progressive, if you use that 9 weapon against a 5, then your next enemy also has to be lower than 5. That’s why it can sometimes feel like the weapon didn’t protect you, when in fact it’s just following that step-down mechanic. I’ll make sure to explain this more clearly in the “How to Play” section. Really appreciate you taking the time to point this out, and I hope this clears things up. Have fun pushing your luck with the runs!
