Update gating
Whilst the general ui feel is ok, having the need to update every time i open it feels ridiculous and excessive, especially when its for minor fixes
Blocking updates every week
Every time I need to use the app, I’m forced to update to the latest version. Can we push to make these optional, it’s pretty irritating.
Shockingly poor performance and signed me up to marketing messages from Deel.
App does not load my details to show my payslips, or does not load payslips or notifications. Hugely inconsistent performance for if you’ll be able to actually view your important documents.
Everyone at the company I work for also received a marketing email about gambling sweepstakes that we had not signed up for.

Expenses line item only
No option to submit or approve expenses in report form. Approving a 30 line item expense reports one line item at a time is tedious and absurd. Now imagine you have ten resources submitting expenses monthly. Ridiculous. Years behind their expense app design competitors.
Impossible to reach
I work for a Korean company without a US entity. Deel functions as my EOR. I have had several issues with benefits and payments. It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach anyone at Deel to discuss these discrepancies. Deel's AI indicates "An agent usually replies within 2 minutes". I have spent 35 waiting for such a response before giving up. Phone messages are not responded to.
I would never recommend this company to anyone, other than a competitor.
Edit: after writing this review, I tried, yet again, to reach out to Deel to resolve this matter. After explaining the situation to Deel's AI I was informed I would be connected to an agent, and the average wait time is 2 minutes. I waited ONE AND ONE HALF HOURS before and agent responded. I explained the entire situation yet again. I was informed I would receive an email within one business day, which I did. The request from the email was to explain the situation yet again. I replied to the email with the entire scenario, only to receive a response stating the email address is not monitored.
Also in the email, Mario said I can click on a link provided in the email to connect with him (he claims to be a supervisor) directly. So I did. Instead of connecting with Mario, the meeting is scheduled with Swedene, to whom I will most certainly be starting from scratch.
This place is the least customer focused business with whom I've ever interacted and no one should ever do business with Deel.
I would never recommend this company to anyone, other than a competitor.
