Deep, well-balanced tactical turn based strategy
I’m loving this game. Immense variety of options, yet nothing game breaking. The best fantasy turn-based strategy I have yet found. A few bugs, and not the most usable interface, but easily forgiven. Has given me hours of entertainment for a few quid. Thank you Dev!

My save game corrupts every couple hours so I give up. Waste of money for this. It was fun for the little I played…all three times.
Good but..
Was quite enjoying this, not too much challenge yet, but a nice distraction. The problem is that I’m now stuck on campaign map 13 and unable to get past it without a random character hanging up while walking and leaving the whole game stuck. No way out but to restart the level and watch it happen again even nearer the end. Not sure how many more times I can stand to repeat it. Shame as I was thinking about grabbing the others in the series.

Bad UI hamstrings this
There is a good game in here but the UI is terrible. Difficult fonts and a lack of clarity in so many places. Can't see HPs clearly, actions left unclear, etc. It's just muddy on so many levels.
Some good characters though and I like the hex based movement and turn system. Clean up the controls and UI and this could be a gem.

Great game but too short
Game is fun and addictive. Campaign is way too short as it only took me 3 days to finish. There are some bugs on a few of the patrol maps where your character falls into the ground and you can’t do anything besides restart the level again.
This games in my top 5 RPG
This is one of the most entertaining RPGs I have played in a while. Enjoyed it a enough to play several different ways hard ness levels.
Great game
So much fun. I really recommend this and its sequel to anyone trawling the App Store. It’s challenging and entertaining, clearly a labour of love. The developer must enjoy the game nearly as much as I do and regularly comes back and tweaks things a little or even adds characters. I just recently downloaded this once more and enjoyed replaying it all the way through as much as the first few times.
The shop is a bit taxing on the eye with an iPhone but the game is so addictive you’ll cheerfully squint yourself blind searching for that perfect legendary item.

Can’t get enough
Love these games from wave light. Hours and hours of strategy. Tried the game on easy and won, but moving up to normal makes the game a real chess match. Don’t over extend your troops in battle or expect them to die. Best part is you don’t have to pay anything more than the price of the game. I will definitely buy all of wave light games future sequels of this game

Engaging. Addictive. If only it wouldn’t freeze frequently. I have the latest iPad Pro. Probably sloppy coding. Please fix.
Turn based sword & sorcery fans
Good start. Def worth the .99 I paid. Would like to see more content, but there's a 2. Not many games like this avail for ios. Small dev, has updated. No in-app crap. Music and voices became annoying, utilized option to turn down. Like having double speed for combat. I'll probably get tagged for this, but keep up the attractive female characters. Support.
Camera update fixed the rotation prob. No top down tho, unless on screen controls selected.

Would like to see these games evolve. Some suggestions: base and army build, random encounters, choice affect world, economy, factions, character depth and interaction, battle damage, visible gear.

Thanks. Pushing another update today that adds vertical camera controls in the new methods. Also adds iPhone X UI support and fixes several more bugs.

Confusing controls and unclear gameplay
Frustrating to try to do anything. Couldn’t make the through the tutorial without giving up in frustration. Not money well spent.

Game crashes
Game now crashes which is a shame as I really liked it ! Will rate five stars if this is fixed, I'm sure it will be as Dev seems very involved and is thought highly of.

Amazing
I reinstall just so I can leave a review, although I've been in the game a while back it's still one of the best I've played on mobile. No by gem or gold scams; fun turn based tactical combat in a fantasy setting. Plenty of content and characters. I was a little disappointed when it ended abruptly; looking at the map it appeared that I had only finished one territory of what looked like a huge map. I'm not sure if the developer planned on adding additional campaign areas (I would have paid for extra content!) but at this point I don't think it's happening. The game as it stands however is well worth the money. I own all three titles by this developer and can say this is the most polished. If you like fantasy tactics, definitely pick it up and consider the other titles by the same developer.

Very impressed
Finally took the plunge and bought this game after hearing about it a while ago. So glad I did: it's a fun, satisfying, overall impressive package. I was looking for a worthwhile tactical rpg to get into, and I feel like I've found it. Give this series a try, it's easily worth the price.

This game hits all the right notes for an in depth turn based game. Live the variety in characters to choose from!
