Slow to start
It takes a good 20 seconds to "connect to the servers" and there's no dark mode.
App
So I bought Denon pearl pro earbuds and I have an iOS device. The brochure that came with the earbud says that these earbuds have spatial audio for iOS and android but has no head tracking with the spatial audio. I download the app and set up went great and some of the things that people are talking about on here about the earbuds that doesn’t have control has now been updated…. I guess because now you can do a lot with the earbuds by customize what it will do for as turning on and off features like transparency right on the earbuds, but on my app, there is no spatial audio. I reached out to the support team and they say that there is spatial audio on the app and that I’m not looking in the right place, but I have yet to find it in the app. I have reset the earbuds and the phone itself made sure everything was up-to-date, but still do not see a spatial audio button Even though the spatial audio was not supposed to have head tracking….spatial audio was one of the things that I enjoy and was hoping when I purchased these that there would be spatial audio , but it doesn’t show it when you download it to your phone which I have iOS but the support team says it does have it but I have yet to see It no matter what I do.

Account/Servers
The app has such potential. The big issue is it needs to connect to Denon servers to work. Thus it Is unfunctional on airplanes or at my farm. It really makes no sense. Even with Wi-Fi, half the time it cannot connect.
Too many bugs
Offline mode does not work, meaning you cannot configure anything w.r.t. headphones without internet. Kicks you out into an endless loop. Touch controls are limited—only toggling transparency mode works; you cannot toggle between e.g. noise cancellation and “off” mode.
Good Sound Not the Product/Support
I really like the Noise Cancelling earphones from demon but two things that suck are the weak app support to connect it with, there’s just too much problem when it came down to connect the two together and the support is subpar. The worst is that my right ear phone must have some sort of manufacturing defect because it noticeably run of out of battery MUCH quicker than the left one. So I’m constantly having to put it back in its case to recharge. I can’t speak for the rest of their products but if you’re looking into their earphone I would maybe consider a different brand.

Terrible app and head
Not up to Denon AV standards. Perl Pro would not fit in my ear and “create a seal” to do the sound customization, even after changing ear tips. The earphones also have basically zero noise canceling .
Haters
I don’t understand why people are worried they have to make a account to use the app, like bro it’s not a big deal if it is just make a dummy account because without the app you can’t enjoy these amazing earbuds. As far as sound they crush any buds I have tried and I have almost all of them. Now for comfort they are not bad but compared to my Bose silent buds it’s not even close. But they stay in my ears and that’s a huge plus. Can’t say the same for apple pro buds that i really enjoy but they don’t stay in my ears at least. But if you want mids highs super bass then you can’t go wrong. These and the Bose. The only thing that’s lame is you can’t change the volume unless you press and hold or something weird. That’s gotta be fixed if I’m paying over $350

Stopped working
Denon Perl Pro refuses to connect in the app. I don’t know if this is due to recent updates. The bluetooth on the headphones themselves work fine but whenever I open the headphones app it gets stuck on connecting to the headphones and times out or gives me an error stating connection status unknown
Can't set up Personalized Hearing Profile
Ordered a spare Denon Perl Pro and tried to set up Personalized Hearing Profile but ended up with a Blank white screen and Bluetooth disconnect notification during the hearing measurement process. I will have to return the new pair of Perl Pros. really disappointed.

Almost Perfect
I’ve only been using the app for a few days, but the only qualm I have is the whole needing both earbuds on to access the app. I can only wear one earbud a time at work and if I need to check something real quick needing to go and grab my other earbud is super annoying.
Now even worse
App was poor before, only working when earphones are connected, no ability to alter settings whilst they’re charging in case. After update, I now don’t get any battery warnings, just “battery critical” they then shutdown 2 seconds later. Utterly useless. Wouldn’t buy denon earphones ever again
It took a while to set up
When creating my Personalised Sound Profile, it got stuck at the first step for hours.
But gave it another attempt hours later and was successful.
I wish there was a function to go to the previous song on the headphones. An option for this did not appear to exist when I was customising my inputs.

Seems like someone at Denon check the reviews and decided to fix thing up. Kudos making the app great as the product
Need to login every time you use the app
Not sure if it’s a bug or by design. But every time I open the app I need to login, update the age and confirm I read the term of use and the policy.

Great earbuds bad app
App keeps signing out everyday. Also, the app takes forever to connect to the earbuds even though the phone is already connected to earbuds. Disappointing.
Annoying log in
Please stop asking for my age and gender every single time I open the app. Just keep me logged in.

While I haven’t had issues, they never update the app or headphone firmware
They never update the app or the firmware for the PerL Pros.
Too personal
This app is horrible!!! They want you to agree to allowing third parties to have access to your information to even use this app. I think that’s way too personal just to use some earbuds. Needless to say I will be sending them back, and buying a different pair of earbuds.
