Could not get much worse than it is now
This app is one of the absolute worst apps I have ever tried using. Search function results are never accurate and will show you hundreds from the same channel, so you have to do a LOT of scrolling to get through it all.
It also crashes an obscene number of times when just browsing or searching. You can be confident that you’ll be lucky to go five minutes before it crashes on you. Then sometimes when you open the app afterward your recommendation feed will suddenly show nothing related to your interests.
Don’t waste your time downloading. Just use the browser instead. And don’t hold on to the hope that the app might be fixed. It hasn’t had a patch in over three years now. They know their app is busted but they clearly don’t know how to fix any of it.

This app is a total bust and you have greed to thank for it
Yes greed thats what led this to this nightmare today i was trying to search for art but then it crashes and keeps doing it every time i try to search for anything until this is fixed i think i’ll just use my browser to use deviantart to look up art rather than waste my time until this gets fixed which will most likely never happen thanks politicians you ruined another good thing

Completely unusable on IPad
I have the app on my iPhone and a few days ago it completely quit loading so I downloaded the app to my iPad and you can’t even get into the app at all.Just use the website instead.

Can’t upload PFP
Like it gives me that error 400 message whatever that means. I don’t wanna be stuck with an avatar and a dumb one at that let me change my picture so I can upload my own and not have any.
I have since deactivated my account on the art and going elsewhere. Haven’t even been on the app for five minutes and this happens. UNINSTALLED

Needs the AI filter on the Mobile App
I don’t know why I need to use the browser to disable ai Art when it should be on the APP,it makes things complicated
Could be good but unstable
I can’t believe this app is still even on the App Store. Last time I used it a year or so back it would regularly crash after viewing a certain number of pictures, and now I’ve tried again and it’s not even possible to login anymore. Every time I try and login with my email and password, it just logs me into a popup browser window, like a web browser version and not the actual app behind the popup! I’m guessing the app is dead as it’s not been updated for years. Apple should remove junk like this from cluttering up the App Store and causing user frustration!

Overrun with AI
I logged back in after a long time away only to find it littered with AI. It’s nearly impossible to find actual art.

Things have really gone downhill with this app. Used to work great a few years ago, but now it’s basically broken. The last update was 2 years ago. No wonder this app is garbage.
Ai isn’t art
Deviant art used to be a platform for real human artists to post their work and instead it’s been taken over by and condoned by fake work and stolen art morphed by bots. Maybe this platform would be better and would have a chance of striving if they stopped allowing ai work and become what they are supposed to be — a space for true artists to have community and for their hard work to be displayed. Not replaced by people who can’t be bothered to pick up a pencil.
