Very good! (Easy to pick up and play, hard to win.)
After playing this game since it came out, I have to say it’s addictive and keeps me coming back. I absolutely recommend it. It makes playing Yahtzee more competitive and enjoyable.
Finally, with the three patrons that are unlocked up front, I can consistently get to Round 8 of the 10 if I’m lucky. So even though I haven’t won yet, it is satisfying enough. I do hope I win someday!
The strategy isn’t overly heavy, thankfully (some of these types of games are too convoluted, this one is very accessible). You have to be lucky with rolls and joker combos. But it’s super quick and fun. I’m glad I bought it.
And, cool design. No ads. No tracking. No IAP. Small file size. Great tutorial. Intuitive UI. And it saves progress if you exit to the main menu. I appreciate the fair premium price too, that is to be applauded.

Needs balancing

I really, really wanted to enjoy this, but I ended up deleting in frustration. I feel that it needs balancing. It’s very difficult to get a good combination of jokers that play off each other, and the point requirements go up faster than you can build a decent engine most of the time. I played many games and mostly got knocked out before Round 4. Once I was super lucky and made it to Round 10 but lost.
The Zeus patron is mostly useless because you rarely roll Yahtzee. I got close to winning with Hades, but you have to focus on three and four of a kind with him. Most other tactics (straights, etc.) are harder to get, even if you get a joker that gives you extra rolls and hands. I realize luck is involved, but most of the time you can’t earn enough mult to get past the score requirement, especially early on.
I’ve played other similar games and won, but I can’t seem to win this one and usually can’t get too far in it. It seems only certain synergies would even work well. Most jokers honestly don’t seem to help you enough.
At the least, the score thresholds need to drop a bit, or your hands need to be worth more, or you need more hands and rolls by default.
Maybe you’ll have better luck than me. It’s not a bad game, but I think it needs adjustments to make it more doable. Dying by Round 3 or 4 each time is no fun. And if you don’t get the right jokers right away, you’ll die in Round 2. I’ll keep my eye on it and maybe redownload it again later on.
