NOT ding free
I recently used an ATM in Pembroke, Ontario, at Meridian, while traveling from Alberta. I chose this ATM because it was listed on the Ding Free app, but I was still charged a $3 fee for withdrawing cash. When I spoke to a teller, they told me, ‘Oh, your credit union will reimburse you.’ Well, that’s not going to happen. So much for the Ding Free app helping to save fees—it’s not reliable for avoiding these charges.”

Wild Goose Chase
This app was recommended by my Credit Union so I figured it would work but the location it suggested didn’t exist. As far as I can tell the bank it suggested doesn’t even exist- when I asked the concierge in the building he looked at me and said “Not my tenant” like he’d said the same thing to lots of other folks. So I ended up paying $3.00 to use an ABM down the street. So much for “Ding Free” 🤷🏼♂️

Absolutely terrible app. I just wanted to find a ding free atm, but this app is so gosh darn confusing. Make it simple please! The older version was 1000x better.

Was in Kelowna and needed to take money out, there were tons of options to choose from! Happen to be a ding free atm 2 minutes down the road. Super helpful!!!
No longer accurate
Location data is inaccurate, places are missing, and some places shown are not fee-free. Has not been updated to use modern APIs.

Not worth downloading
I’m in the US and it’s giving me a list in Canada!!! Remember my setting? I didn’t even put my setting in! Please Credit Unions DO NOT recommend when it doesn’t work...does’t look good for you! Not even worth 1 star! DELETE!!!

This app is incredibly helpful. When I need access to cash, I'll go out of my way to avoid surcharges. This app has made it too easy! You need to be a credit union member in Canada (some people are giving negative reviews because they haven't figured this out). And if you're not a credit union member, what are you waiting for?!

Haven't paid a fee in months.
This app is great for travelling and on the go. I never have to use sketchy ATMs now. I haven't paid an ATM fee in months.
