Do not rely on this app
I used this app to find a supposedly ding free ATM. It showed me that Desjardins in Québec are ding free. The screen didn’t say anything about charges when I made the withdrawal, but when I looked at my bank account a few days later, it showed a $2.50 charge for using the ATM.
When I phoned up my credit union they said that the Exchange app was a better option to find an ATM where I didn’t have to pay charges.

NOT ding free
I recently used an ATM in Pembroke, Ontario, at Meridian, while traveling from Alberta. I chose this ATM because it was listed on the Ding Free app, but I was still charged a $3 fee for withdrawing cash. When I spoke to a teller, they told me, ‘Oh, your credit union will reimburse you.’ Well, that’s not going to happen. So much for the Ding Free app helping to save fees—it’s not reliable for avoiding these charges.”

Wild Goose Chase
This app was recommended by my Credit Union so I figured it would work but the location it suggested didn’t exist. As far as I can tell the bank it suggested doesn’t even exist- when I asked the concierge in the building he looked at me and said “Not my tenant” like he’d said the same thing to lots of other folks. So I ended up paying $3.00 to use an ABM down the street. So much for “Ding Free” 🤷🏼♂️

This app has wasted enough of my time. None of the 24hr atms listed are actually open after 4pm
