Abysmal outdated file size limit
Skype had up to 300mb which was years ago. Why people constantly use this platform is beyond me. Some photos fail to upload. PHOTOS. We are not in the 90s. What are you doing discord? Everything is becoming worse day by day and I can’t take it anymore. I am not paying for any subscriptions just so that I can simply upload a 30mb video or photo. unbelievable.

Why I can’t use discord
So I’m 13 I was making an account and I accidentally put it to say that I’m nine and I’m trying to make it so that I can put my date of my birth, but I can’t because it won’t let me do it again and I don’t have an account for discord already so I need to get another one and I cannot get it on my iPad to call my friend

I love Discord so much but it always has a stupid lag where when I start a call with anybody we all start glitching at the start where we can’t hear each other’s Mic but otherwise I love all the features and stuff except for the netro:P

Dude my email is stuck in my old account while my phone number is stuck in my new one and I cant remove the email in my old one because I need to get verified and I can’t get verified because I need to verify my account and to do I need to verify my email and etc

This app helped my child talk to complete strangers. They never helped me track down or report the persons involved but instead sent me a very generic and vague statement. They continue to not have strong checks and balances to protect our children from online predators.

No Protection for Accounts
I’ve lost my account a few times due to losing my devices and the manner of retrieving an account with authentication as a lock is impossible. I just wish they would make it easier to get my accounts. Years of lost messages history…

Micro transactions, regardless of other communication networks like snap also having it it still is annoying, the file size one is the big reason for me, but there are other factors, if you wanna do almost any customization of your account/profile you’ll need to pay. The addition of orbs does make it more accessible but still limiting.
it’s annoying that if you want to do any practical personal communication you need to use a business oriented app with difficult interfaces, but for being a fully recreational app it’s also limiting, the paywall behind customization is annoying
Aside from that it’s a semi versatile app, but it makes me miss the MySpace days of creative freedom, but I understand why a user driven art community would be bad, especially when looking at stuff like the Black Ops weapon skins and emblems that we just pushing to be as edgy as possible and I fear that it would return if given another well established medium, and practically applications are limited, which is nice because it functions as an insurance that it won’t become the next Microsoft Teams
My final review is a 3 because of a lack of definition, it’s just another texting app, I do prefer it because of the lack of short form content though, because even other apps like Snapchat are beginning to introduce it.
Still will continue to use until I find an adequate substitute.
