Broken app

Truly the worst app and system I ever used. You rent the scooter in a place that you can’t ride. Then “my rent” went missing on the app so I couldnt end the rent. The help me button also doesn’t work. I am impressed by how bad this app is.

Expensive

The app works as it should and you can find bikes and unlock them easily assuming you have payment set up on your phone. Be wary of the day pass though as that only gives you the classic bikes free for the first 3 hours. The day pass is around $23 however. The e-bikes are like 44¢ a minute. We bought a day pass and rode the e-bikes for maybe 60-75 minutes and a classic for about 15 minutes and we paid about $61 total for that day including the pass. It’s just too expensive to enjoy. The bikes of both varieties functioned well but the e-bikes are a rough ride.

Basically a scam

You see discarded bikes blocking the street all the time but when you take a ride you have to park in one of the oddly rare divvy parking spots, but if other people also parked there then they won’t let you so you have to park even farther from your destination.

Good when it works but generally it doesn’t

Always fails when I need it most

More expensive than taking an uber. Crazy fees and constant price hikes

I used city bike in New York for years and have used Divvy bikes in Chicago for the past four. First of all, it’s ridiculous that you can’t use one membership in both cities, considering both companies are owned by Lyft. The bikes work decently, although they not electric ones are extremely slow. At least a few months, I was getting charged a crazy $25 fee for “incorrect parking” despite having parts exactly as they asked. I had to start taking photos and videos of how I parked. They did refund me when I sent photos but never admitted that the fee was incorrectly charged. Prices have been going up like crazy. It was $1 to park outside the station and it’s doubled since then. Never mind the 15 cents/minute e bike cost becoming 20 cents/minute or the membership fee going up significantly.

Taking an e bike is often as or even more expensive than just taking an uber at this point…

Scam as hell

Literally don't use this app. It's SCAMMY. Took me and my mothers money

Dysfunctional app, horrible customer service

Every time I try to use this app, I think to myself “I’ve done this a few times now, I’m sure it will be fine this time” and every time it is not fine. There’s always an issue getting a bike, docking it, or something in between. Whether it’s renting a bike and having it not unlock for you after you pay for it snd support telling you you’ll have to wait 24hrs and pay the $100 it’ll charge you before being refunded or going to three dock locations shown on the app that don’t exist (both have happened to me) they always find a way to waste an extra 30 minutes of your time and drain your wallet as well. Using a Divvy bike is the most frustrating and unreasonably difficult thing I’ve done. I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

Do not use

This bike infrastructure is completely unusable. I pay for 3 bike passes and only one bike unlocked with the provided code. Then I check my credit card app to see they placed a hold on my account for $75. Completely unacceptable.

Works as it should

Follow the rules, park it correctly, and you'll be fine. Only used it for 7 mins for fun. Not sure about those no go zones people talk about.

Poor logistics

I’d strongly against getting their yearly subscription. Not having bikes or docks available is the rule rather than the exception.

Generally Great but Large Failures Occur!

For my 3+ months as a Divvy subscriber, I’ve generally loved it and have found the app to typically work seamlessly. Recently tho, a bug popped up that ruins it all. When I hit the scan button, a black screen pops up and it won’t scan the QR on the bikes. My camera otherwise works just fine. I can only ride e-bikes by typing in the code manually. Could yall please fix and Id be happy to make this a positive review if you do.

Dysfunctional at Best

I have docked the stupid bike correctly, but because their station is “offline” I get to pay for my “ride” that I am apparently still on until they get someone out to fix the station. Why should I have to pay for Divvy’s dysfunction?

No Feedback to wrong payment

I accidentally signed up for an annual subscription and have not received a refund.

I wish you can navigate to the divvy bike racks

It’s kind of silly but the amount of time this program existed you can’t just plug in where you want to go and the app opening Google Maps and navigating to the bike rack instead of the actual location..

why??????????

Why do you need to bind another bank card before you can unbind your bank card? Do people agree?

Scam Alert

Beware. When I tried to rent from the kiosk, no bikes unlocked. Then, they charged me $250 for a “lost bike” even though I was never able to take one. They then said that charge was “nonrefundable.” Beware of renting a bike from this company.

Avoid

Don’t use this service they will charge you as much as they can outside of what they’re supposed to. You cannot lock the bikes, they will get stolen during your use and the timer keeps going. They don’t put gps trackers in them nor can they remotely turn them off so they will charge you $1200.

Divvy is guilty Corporate theft.

They programmed their app to force your ride into a “pause”, which you have to manually turn on and off. This averages around 28 to 30 secs longer for every ride. Lucky for me, I have time and resources to let the world know. :)

Borderline scam. DO NOT USE

When you rent a scooter, they literally mis advertise and fraud you into buying a day pass for only $19

You would think that a DAY PASS would allow you to ride for free for ONE DAY

Here where the scam comes in that they don’t explicitly mention in the app where they sell it to you. DAY PASS ONLY WAIVES THE $1 FEE TO ACCESS THE SCOOTER. I PAID $19 TO SAVE $1. You still have to pay the same rate for every minute on the scooter.

Its very unethical and misleading app. Scam like operations.

P. S. DO NOT USE FOR ANY REASON. This should be reported and looked into
